I am doing a few excursions in PR next month where I have my camera, iphone, and a small wallet. I'd like to find something that is functional but doesn't scream "I have a fanny pack".
Are there any stylish fanny packs out there you can recommend?
OK, maybe saying "stylish" was inaccurate. I just don't want to sport something like I used to wear in the 80s as a child:
I am not carrying a lot of stuff- just P&S cam, iphone, 1-2 protein bars, some cash, and 2 CCs. I don't mind a rugged look. We will be doing some light hiking, as well as ziplining. Maybe something like this?

Ok, I think the general consensus is no fanny pack. I can't really zipline with a backpack or crossbody. I'll just only bring my iphone and wear a zippered pair of shorts. Thanks!
I am no fashion maven by any means but I think "stylish fanny pack" is just an oxymoron. It sounds like you're not planning on carrying a big DSLR or anything so can you just use your iPhone as your camera? I would just take the phone, a credit card, and some cash and stash it in a pocket. This is a big reason why I hoard pants and shorts with good, secure, zippered pockets.
If I have to have a bag--like when I have a water bottle, tour book, etc.--then I go with a cross-body bag. Love my Timbuk2 messenger bag.
What kind of excursion are we talking here? A hike where you don't want to be carrying a lot of stuff, or just walking around sightseeing?
I LOVE my Timbuk2 messenger bag for travel. I take it everywhere from hiking to sightseeing in the city. It has great zip and velcro compartments inside for valuables. It's also easy to clean and can get wet.

For hiking where you want something functional, I see no problem with an outdoorsy fanny pack in the same way that even zip-off pants (shudder) have their place in outdoor activities despite the fact that they're hideous. I'd buy the one you PIPed or similar. But it definitely screams "I have a fanny pack," there's no getting around that.

For this, I would just wear a pair of fitted cargo pants. I have a pair of Norrøna Svalbard that would fit that much stuff easily.
When I have a little more, I use a small Osprey hydration pack with the bladder removed, since it's smaller than a regular backpack.
Which I wear sort of hang under my top layer of clothes. It's not hidden, but the strings are. I don't carry a P&S though; that might not fit well with a phone too, so I'd carry my phone in my pocket.
I'm into fashion and all that good stuff but when it comes to outdoor excursions, that's when I make an exception.
To me, I pick functionality and comfort over "looking cute".
So, go with whatever works for you!
I go with both! But it's easy when you live in a place where you can rock a brightly-colored rain shell in the middle of the city and have people say "Ooh, Arcteryx! Nice jacket!"
PS - This is also a place where fanny packs are extremely common, because they're used a lot for cross-country skiing. www.amazon.com/Swix-Small-Fanny-Pack-Red/dp/B002XBIGZ0 (ETA- That picture is dumb. You wear it on your back. It's a lumbar bag, since you're leaning forward.)
