Husband and boss have a last minute business trip TODAY. Ticket booked 1-2 days ago by someone else. Both their names are misspelled.
They think they can just have it changed at the ticket counter when they check in. I think they are wrong.
Boss called Orbitz and was told it would "cost a lot of money to change it."
I think they should at least call the airline (Delta) and try Orbitz again.
I think they are going to be very unhappy when they show up at the airport. 2 guys with misspelled names, tickets booked by someone else....not suspicious at all. ::insert sarcasm::
Ideas?
**travel is not part of their job, this is a new situation, they are just going to help out a store that is floundering in it's first weeks of being open. The other store's owner purchased the tix, so it isn't like a travel agent or anything.

How far is the airport? If it's reasonably close, I'd probably go and leave an extra hour before the flight. People are often more apt to help you in person if you're nice than they are over the phone.
With the weather being so crappy in Atlanta today I imagine the phone lines at Delta are already nuts. I agree with just getting to the airport really early and being patient.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
I've flown Delta and had a name change. Someone booked my international ticket under my married name. I was still traveling with my maiden name passport. Delta had no problem changing it and not charging. I'd just explain the situation.
