The Price is Right Judge Judy Leno A few sitcoms that are now off the air
This was the collegy thing to do in Southern California. Going to class 2-3 days a week and having no job gave me a lot of time to do weird shit like this.
I went to Dr. Phil and The Price is Right(when Bob Barker was the host) when I was in college. The woman who won the showcase at the end was sitting next to us all day and I was so happy for her! It surprised me how small the Price is Right stage is! It's tiny compared to what it looks like on TV.

What was Dr. Phil like?
Cold! It was actually slightly boring. It was right after his diet book came out and they were taping an episode about how to eat healthy/well. I was starving the whole taping and watching people eat food on stage was a form of torture! It was fun to see myself on tv though (we sat in one of the sections closest to the stage and the camera passed by us frequently).

We toured the NBC studios in NYC and got to see where SNL, etc. was filmed, but it was during the summer--most of the shows' off season--so we didn't get to see anyone famous or actually watch a show.

How was Judge Judy during commercials?!?!?
No commercial breaks. She films full 8 hour days, and the times we went only got in 5-7 cases. Each case took SO long! I guess I never thought about it, but she has to go through and read a bunch of contracts, emails, etc., which are just edited out. There was a lot of silence. It was much more low key than I was expecting.
Eta: Front row for Leno. Rosie O'Donnell was the guest and she gave me a trip to her R Family Vacations cruise - all expense paid. Lionel Richie was the musical guest.
On Bozo I was selected to throw the ball in the buckets and never made it past the third bucket.
Hardly anyone made it past that damn third bucket. lol

That's why she is always telling them she has better things to do, lol.
