We need a high chair for the kitchen. We have the kind that attaches to a chair for the dining room but the fact is we usually feed C in the kitchen except for dinners together. I've just been putting her summer infant seat on the island but now her legs are long enough to push back.
So what cheap seat with a small footprint is there that you people like?
Is there an Ikea near you? I love the Antilop and it's like 20 bucks.
I looked at that online but couldn't find a weight limit. C is about 23lbs - will it last a bit?
That's a great question. I didn't keep the paperwork that came with the chair, so I'm not sure what the weight limit is. Obviously I paid no attention to that when we bought it, lol.

We have it and love it. And dd is 22 lbs. I don't know offhand the weight limit either but I can't see that she is close at all. I believe it is to be used into toddler sizes. My nephew is 26lb and uses it no problem.
Can't you just bring your chair from the dining room into the kitchen when you need it? I'm a big fan of not buying extra stuff, especially since kids outgrow things so quickly.

This is a bigger pain than it sounds like as it involves going up and down stairs both ways. I prefer something to be just kept in the kitchen.
Is the Ikea chair ok for young babies? I bought the Peg Perego Prima Pappa when it was on sale for $40 at babiesrus. We recently got it out and it is massive. The straps were loose and the tray came up to DS's chin. Unfortunately I will have to return it. I am overwhelmed by the choices but ultimately want something safe and easy to clean. My other concern is the 3 point harness as DS like to wriggle. Anyone have any experience with the chair and a 20th percentile wriggley baby?
