I have no idea why this came to my head, but I was thinking this morning about old screen names and email addresses I've had through the years, and how ridiculous some of them were.
Do you have any cringe-worthy oldies that you would be incredibly embarrassed by if you were to put them on a resume?
I used to have an email account that was "ill_tight_sounds". I never spoke like that, but it was a line from an Nsync song and I thought it was SO COOL.
This actually came up a few weeks back on CE&P, in the form of some article stating that many (most?) people still use the same screen name they did when they first got online. In my case? No, LOL. I was 14 when we got AOL, and my name wasn't horrible, but it was very teen.
But a confession? The CE&P thread inspired me to Google that screen name and I found that there's still a "HotorNot" page out there for me. My high school friends and I all put ourselves on there for some reason. If I cared more, I'd look into having it taken down, but eh... a chaste high school yearbook photo isn't going to hurt my online reputation too much.

my gmail address is my FN+Maiden name. If you didn't know, you would think I was trying to be cute/funny - imagine something like "susiebunny at gmail". In fact, when I first gave it to my H, he rolled his eyes because he didn't know my last name at the time. I always worry people will think the worst of me when I give it out, but I love it so I'm keeping it.
I ran cross country and track so my AOL screen name was HotFeetNDA (NDA was the acronym for my high school). I got a ton of creeps and pervs who would message me asking if they could ejaculate on my feet or if I would massage their penis with my hot feet. I changed it to HotStuffNDA (which is absolutely no better, not sure what I was thinking). I just googled it and apparently I had a profile on CampusHook.com with that screen name. Good for my ego (as I sit her in yoga pants, unshowered, and blah), some guy referred to me as the "hottest girl on this site." To be 19 again....
I still use one of my silly addresses for most marketing/online purchase stuff. I pretty much opened it for that purpose years ago. I occasionally give it out to people when I don't want my real last name out there (like corresponding with nesties and bumpies back in the days before FB).
I was still writing on stone tablets in high school, so don't have to worry about being embarrassed by screen names, etc. I would have chosen when I was 14.

I still use my 'Shortney' email for random things. I also had one that was a nickname from my mom and was 'CourtBear' with some random numbers. I had a bunch of AIM SNs that were all 'cuteexxbabii' and shit like that. Oy.

i was a swimmer so my very first email/screenname at the age of 12 was "waterbugg_(numbers)" ... whatever number combination wasn't in use on that forum.
after that, i used a combination of my first, middle, and maiden names and when i got married and needed to create new accounts i switched to a first, middle, married combination. i used that on the nest and i still use that for venues where my name is available anyway. i switched to "heygrey" when we moved here to gain a tiny sense of privacy.
eta: i'm thankful that my mom's general dislike for the internet kept me in check with screennames and when i started a blog as a teenager. she would always tell me to only write things that i wanted to be immortalized forever. i totally rolled my eyes at her ancient ways back then... i should probably thank her for her wisdom now though :-)
heygrey My log-in for pretty much everything these days is either first, middle, maiden or first, middle, last. Actually "glitzy07" is a holdover from a previous Hotmail email address that I used for the Knot to maintain some anonymity.
I think if I ever change my GBCN name though, it might have to be "illtightsounds" now that I remembered that SN. Because, yeah.
Oh and one of my early AOL names (because I obviously had so many wonderful ideas for usernames that I had to use them all...) was something like musiklover or musiklovin or something like that, and my entire profile was just bands I liked. I can't be positive, but I'm sure I pRobAbLy tyPeD thEm LiKe tHis.
My first AOL name was pretty lame. I got a new one in high school, I think, and I don't want to put it out there because I use it as a username on some things, but it's from an album and I still like it.
But this reminded me that at DS1's old school, the director always put our email addresses on the to: field so sometimes I would look at other parents' email addresses. One of them was mrsstinky#s and I LOL every time. I kept looking at it, thinking, surely this 30+yo woman does not have "Mrs. Stinky" as her email address that she still uses, right? Is it, like, Mrs. S. Tinky? Also, why the numbers? WHY ARE THERE SO MANY MRS STINKYS THAT NUMBERS ARE NECESSARY!?
This reminds me... my childhood BFF's college's email naming schematic was first initial, last name. Her first initial was M, and her last name was Ritchie. So, her email was mritchie, AKA Mr. Itchie.
My first AOL email was GrnMandM. I was weirdly obsessed with the green m&m. I used "silliry" for many, many years and I kind of hate it now, but it's been so long it's easy for me to remember.
I was definitely glitterqueen and then my graduating year of high school. I loved sparkles & glitter! I also remember my first AOL screen name. Shamrock600. I picked it because I had a pair of Lucky jeans and they lined the pockets with shamrock fabric. Except I used to get weird people messaging me because I think it was a wrestler's name. And it was the mascot of a boy's high school, so that was weird, because they all used shamrock in their screen names. Hence, the change to glitterqueen!
My Hotmail email is the first email address that I actually used and still use it, it's just FN+MN. I went through a number of SNs but osulori was the one I used the most and obviously the one I still use for various stuff. For a while, my AIM SN was devilwoman because when J and I started dating he liked to say "Don't tell me my business, devil woman!" from Billy Madison.

glitzy07 - fellow NSYNC fan here . Mine was crunk.baby.klt, which is of course from some interview where JT said "it's crunk, baby!" And my hypothetical initials if I had married him lol

I usually don't feel old on this board, but I didn't have email until they assigned me an account at college. Probably more out of touch than old, which hasn't really changed.

Thing is, I don't remember using my email until way later. Like, I know I had an AOL email address in the '90s, but the main online communication methods were chat rooms and instant message.

Yep, this is definitely true for me too. And my dad was an early adopter, so I had AOL long before a ton of my friends.
