I'm thinking about sending out a few moving announcements after we close on our house and have found some cute options on Etsy.
Some of the sellers offer the option to produce the image file and send it to me and for me to print locally.
If you've printed your own cards/announcements, whom did you use?
Is it as easy as uploading the file from an Etsy seller to the Costco (or Vistaprint...) website for printing? Or taking a thumbdrive w/the image to Staples or Costco?
I have too many options. Feel free to explain it to me like I'm 5.
I printed my wedding invites with Vista Print, the quality was very good IMO. I've also printed by either sending or taking a jump drive to Office Depot or Office Max and they also do a nice job.
Vistaprint is cheaper and if you have the time to wait for shipping, a great option. But if you want stuff right away a local one is fine too.
So, yes. It's just as easy as uploading the image file or taking it into the store to be printed. No guesswork, unless the print size options are limited at the stores. With Vista they have a lot of options, so you don't need to worry about cutting it down once you get it.
I took the file to Office Max. They positioned it two on a page and printed them out on like 90 lb card stock for .60 a page (so for two invites). Then they cut them for me all together at $1.00 per cut (no matter how many sheets) so it was six cuts total the way I did them. I got 30 for $15.
