My search feature keeps giving me error messages…I know there was a thread about reusable pouches the other day…link please??
And also, what supplies can you recommend for starting solids? I am hoping for brand recs for the following:
plate (Is a divided plate better than a regular one? or should I have both for different stages?) bowl cup and/or sippy
And how many of each do you have on hand. I have been interested in the oxo tot stuff and the skip hop stuff so far. Not sure what the new "rule" on sippies vs straws is...
I think we'll be slowly introducing solids in the next week or two instead of waiting til 6 months. She'll be 5.5 months by then. Close enough. She's ready. She's so, so ready. She's been ready and I've been holding off, but she is in need of something more, and I'm thinking it's time.
TIA!
**bonus points of internet stranger love to anyone with good blog or article recs about solids and the products people like**
You really just need bibs and spoons at the beginning, as PP said.
Is babycheery sitting up on her own? We did mostly baby led weaning with G from the start because he was sitting up and doing well and wanted to grab things. With C he was close but not totally sitting up at 6 months so we did a couple weeks with purees and then moved to food.
And my husband, who was home less, liked this chart printed and I would mark off what they had tried so he didn't get confused about allergy stuff. For what it's worth, I didn't fuss about introducing multiple foods at once, except for high possibility of allergy foods, which I would do one at a time.
All we have are spoons (we're using the Gerber metal ones with rubber coated end), bibs, a hand mill from BRU to puree stuff (not as much of a pain in the ass as I thought it'd be), and an ice cube tray to freeze stuff in. Oh and a couple of Playtex straw cups just to get him used to the idea of a non bottle, but he's not sure what to think yet...I'm going to pick up a squeezy straw cup soon I think.

Like what?? I'm dumb about this stuff!
I'm on my phone and can't c&p to save my life but the food mill from Bright Starts and the squeezy straw cup is what SKP82 posted, the playtex squeezable straw one.
