I have a completely blank slate. The only item I have is a cream sectional. I ordered an amazing coffee table and end table, but Macy's sucks so after a month of trying to get it delivered, I cancelled my order.
I need an area rug. I need a coffee table. I need a TV console. I need throw pillows. I need all sorts of decor.
I'm in a rental, so the walls are all cream, with the exception of the accent wall behind the couch, which is painted Behr's Natural Grey. The picture shows the color pretty accurately; it reads kind of blue in the daylight.
I'm jealous that you have a rental with such amazing floors! Can you post another couple of pictures so we can get a feel for the room? What kind of TV do you have? What is your style? Can you PIP a few inspiration pics you like so we can help?
I like neutrals... greys, beiges, but I also like pops of bright colors, I'm just horrible at incorporating color. My rooms always end up super neutral. I like simple designs, more on the modern side. I have no TV for the LR yet, still need to get one. I just moved in and will be here for another 11 months if not longer. I'm not looking to buy anytime soon.
With that color gray you can really go anywhere with your pop of color. Personally I would go with yellow, red, purple or teal or a combination of those depending on how crazy you want to get. Bright is in right now and I know Crate and Barrel has some good options.
I really like blues, greens, and yellows. I'm not really a fan of red... though it might look nice in this space since the kitchen is a little darker and the granite has some pink-ish hues to it.
As far as budget goes, I'm open. I don't want to spend a ton, but I'm willing to splurge on something I really love. If I can do it all for under $1,500-2,000 I'd be happy.
