I just went to my first sale this year. I got two pairs of pajamas, one outfit, the B.toys keyboard, and the Fisher Price Little People zoo talkers for $40.
It's times like these that I think maaaaaaaaybe another one would be nice. And then DH burst that thought by saying, "those were some rough times" when I pointed out how tiny some of these clothes are.
I dropped off a bunch of things to be sold, but won't know for about 2 wks how much I've made.
My scores: -Rody Hopping Horse for $25 (retails for $48) -Melissa & Doug large farm peg puzzle for $3.50 -Melissa & Doug hinge puzzle for $4 -Little People farm tractor for $4 (retails for $27) -Burberry polo for $5
The horse, puzzles, and tractor were all on DS's birthday wish list. I added them to my Amazon cart and decided that day "oh, let me check the sale before hitting purchase".
I also got some pajamas, swim shorts, rash guard tops, and a few other random clothing items for cheap.
Strange - I was looking for sleep sacks and found a pack of 3 fleece Halo sacks sold as a set, in sizes S, M, and L. I need L sacks for summer (central AC so we will stick with fleece), and the entire set of 3 was $1.50. The tag even said "sold as set of 3". What?? A steal, but now I have to get rid of the size S as we don't need it. The sacks were in amazing condition.

Our first sale of the season is in a couple of weeks. Today I went through everything I already have in the next size up to see what DD still needs for spring/summer. We're undecided about a second kid, so I haven't sold anything yet...but it's getting really tempting. I'd love to free up some space in the basement.

my motto is sell now-that's how i fund DS' next size up in clothes. i can always start again if we do have #2-especially now that i know how to work the sales (both consignment and store clearance).
If I have clothes DS just outgrew should I sell them now? They are fall clothes (mostly onesies, light pants & light hoodies) if that makes a difference.
It depends. Some stuff I sold right away, others I organized by season to wait for consignment sales.
We only have a bi-annual sale here. I got excited by this thread so I checked the date, it's not until the end of March! ::pouts:: I'm going by myself on opening day this time. It was a ZOO last fall, and there were some good deals I missed b/c DS just didn't have the patience to stick around.

There is a huge sale in the richer town at the end of the month. I'm debating taking off work early to go. I haven't been to it yet bc I always end up with a conflict.
