Sometimes kids will fill up on fruit (because it's sweet) and neglect their proteins or veggies. We made them eat other stuff first at meals and then they could have fruit, but for snacks I think it's fine.
we limit fruit to breakfast otherwise he wouldn't eat anything else. the kid would survive off fruit alone if we'd let him.
our "rule" is he can have whatever fruit he wants for breakfast-but then we're done. it's veggies for lunch and dinner. we went with this because it's important to us that he has a balanced diet-and we know that he'll always choose fruit over veggies if given the choice... so it is what it is.
I let my kid eat whatever she wants for fruit. She loves it and it stops her from asking for goldfish crackers or the like. I limit it in the sense that she can't have 8 clementines or anything but, if she asks she can have. Sometimes, if it's a day where she's had a lot I'll say, "eat your chicken first then you can have more fruit." We don't have bathroom or food issues for the most part, so I just can't care about fruit. Frozen blueberries and frozen tropical fruit mix are big hits for snack around here.
God I hope not. My kid lives on fruit! Anytime you ask what he wants to eat, the answer is ALWAYS "da froo" (the fruit). He gets fruit at breakfast and lunch. We encourage veggies and protein at dinner. Be careful with bananas, they're constipating. I try to limit 2 a day, and skip days if he doesn't ask for them.
I don't. I really only limit sweets like 1 cookie. DS is really good at eating what he needs. He goes through big protein eating periods ( eggs for every meal ) big carb eating periods, right now he's all about steamed carrots bananas & blueberries. Next week it might be sunbuttr graham crackers & cheese slices. For along time it was yogurt. He gets what he needs. Also right now he needs like 2x as much milk per day as he did just a month ago.

My kid is pretty much a fruitvore (with a little bit of crackers and cheese thrown in). I try to keep it varied, so he's still eating a "rainbow." The only reason we limit is diaper issues. He get fruit at breakfast and lunch, but none at dinner. If he ate two bananas and 4 clemetines I would be bracing myself for an insane diaper.
