DS fell asleep at 6:50, but i don't consider it asleep for the night yet, we're still in the living room. He'll hopefully sleep until nearly 9 at which point, i'll change him and we'll go to the bedroom anywhere from 9-11:00.

DD napped for less than an hour all day today but went down at her normal time. She keeps crying out but remaining asleep - not sure if she is dreaming or what but it is so sad sounding .
AJ seems to be down for the night, after shreiking delightedly in his crib for 10 minutes or so after I put him down. He didn't nap great today (30 mins in the morning and an hourish in the afternoon, plus 5 min and 15 min powernaps in the car) plus his second tooth is coming through so we'll see what tonight brings. I dosed him with Tylenol so hopefully that helps him stay asleep.

Working on bedtime. I think my kid has one of the later bedtimes here (8:00-8:30). Anyway, she has a cough. No fever and it doesn't sound serious, but we're keeping an eye on it. Tell me if I'm forgetting something to help with relief:
Once again dd2 lost her mind at 6 signing to nurse and burrowing her head on my shoulder. I refuse to give in! Kid refuses to take a third nap so I make her rally. We made it until 7. Fingers crossed for a one wake up night. She has 2 more teeth coming in, so who knows.
WHERE ARE THE DIRTY BASTARDS WITH KIDS WHO STTN FROM 6 WKS ON? Oh, not in this thread. I'm going to go ahead and concede that there is about .5% chance that this one will willingly do it before she's weaned. Sigh.

DD napped well today but was a beast at 6:30, she went down easily at 7:15 but I'm sure we'll get at least 1 wake up if not 2. Last night she finally STTN (first time in 2 weeks) but she cried out 4 different times but was able to self soothe. Of course I woke up each time and couldn't fall back to sleep for awhile each time.

Oh mine started STTN at 6w and then at the 4MW shit hit the fan. Her worst sleep was from 6-9m. One morning I can remember coming into work a zombie and telling my friend "I have a vampire baby. She apparently doesn't need sleep at all." She only STTN now b/c we night weaned and ST. But everyone is happier for it.

I just sent my H out for Gatorade. Can't keep water down for very long. Should I call my OB in the morning if I'm not better? This started around 4 pm.
I got sick when I was pregnant with X and I think you're supposed to call if it goes in for more than 12 hours?
I would call. Sorry you aren't feeling good. The first trimester is the worst, and I hear it can be exacerbated the second time around.

It certainly wouldn't hurt, just in case your ob wants you to do anything different. Hope the Gatorade helps...freaking stomach bugs, man.
VCB took a cat nap on the ride home from grandma's. But he didn't nap that well all day, so I'm not too worried. He's quiet in the crib while I hide from him.
To make up for the recent spate of terrible mornings, I am taking benadryl and going to bed at nine today. Hooray, adulthood!

Oh my. Paisley was working her lungs tonight. She screamed for about an hour. She fell asleep around 830, woke up at 930, had a bottle & I just got her back to sleep at 1030.
Fingers crossed she's out for at least 4-4hrs. I'm exhausted.
Last night I had a kid who slept in 3 - 3.5 hour stretches. In her crib. I keep asking my husband who is this baby? Where did the fussy 2 hour co-sleeper go?
I'm doing a little experiment. We stopped nursing on Friday afternoon and returned to bottles. This means pumping for me, but I think it's making a difference in her mealtime satisfaction and sleep quality. It's either that or her Zantac has kicked in, but we've had a more calm baby around here for the last 2.5 days.
Right now she went to sleep at 9:30. Let's hope this restful streak continues.
I flew with the two babes from home to Palm Springs this morning! They both had awesome noon naps, and went down like little treats at their bedtimes. I hope G doesn't get up at 6 (as he is wont to do on vacation with the grandparents) and I hope C doesn't get up at 5 and refuse to go back down as he has a couple of times this week.
Like niq, I'm going to bed and it's 9:15. Long day travelling with two and not my husband! He arrives Wednesday.
J is up after a freaking hour and I am not happy. He's also still spitting up from his last feeding but wants to eat, WTF? The spitting up is really starting to get on my nerves. MH is also pissing me off. He's supposed to take the dogs out before he goes to work but he hasn't been and I just don't have the time or the energy to take them out. He said he was going to pull his weight but he really hasn't been. I still do all the dishes, laundry, general cleaning, take out the trash and do all the baby stuff pretty much by myself. I also need to start doing the cat box because he is seriously slacking on that. He also keeps drinking my reserve water bottle I keep in the fridge and leaving it pretty much empty and won't stop even though I've told him multiple times that it makes me mad. I try to keep in mind that he's all messed up from working overnights and he also has a second job so he's working about 65 hours a week but I'm just getting mad. Whew, that felt good to get out.
First wake up he went to sleep about 10:30 but he's still grunting around so not sure he's really back asleep yet or not. Inlaws have been visiting and wish they could stay all week. We went on our first post baby date and it was fun until we got home and I slipped on the ice and fell. I'm ok just a little sore.

Wake up number 2 at 12:30.
I wish I were comfortable letting her stay with someone else for a night. I'm pretty sure a full, uninterrupted night of sleep would revolutionize my life. DH and I do alternate nights, but I still wake up on his nights.
Wake up number 1 after a 5 hour stretch as usual. Hoping she'll actually go back down tonight. DH has been great about taking her in the morning and letting me sleep after bad nights, but it's starting to bum me out. I come upstairs to bed when it's time to put DD down for the night, so by the time I sleep for a few hours in the morning and get ready for the day, I'm only with DH and DD during waking, daylight hours for such a short period of time it feels like. I'm ready to have some time in the evenings back
H and I did shifts tonight, so this is wake up number 1 for me but 3 overall I think? E has been hell to put to bed lately - it usually takes 4+ tries. Brutal. He stayed at my mom's house last night and she claims he gave her a 6 hour stretch Maybe he was super tired from SIL's wedding festivities? Otherwise what am I doing wrong?? I haven't been able to get more than 3 hours out of him in a month. He has his 4 month shots today and if they're anything like the 2 month we're in trouble.

DS is 6 days old. He has been up since 1:45 either fussing or eating. Up until now he has been on a really good eat/sleep 2.5-3 hours/eat cycle and goes right back to sleep in the bassinet. I have no idea what is wrong. I don't think it is gas related because he settled right down and sleeps if I hold him. As soon as i put him back into the bassinet he wakes up crying. Ugh. I even tried the RNP. I am petrified to fall asleep holding him and drop him or something.
