My water broke, and didn't go into labor on my own(so I may not apply). I never felt sick or a burst of energy. I never went into nesting mode, either(I think my DH was disappointed, lol).
I was tired, although I couldn't sleep. I was congested, coughing and felt like crap. Went to bed at 11pm, couldn't fall asleep so I got up, forced myself to go to bed at 3am. Water broke at 4:45am, cue race to the hospital (I was to have a c-section a week later).
Ditto the nausea returning. Though not as bad as first trimester, but I did vomit a number of times. Had regular contractions for 3 days leading up to labor, so can't remember anything but that.
I had the most amazing week of sleep right before my labor started. I was a week late so felt kinda whale-ish, cranky and sore while awake. But I made myself so busy that week hoping to squeeze in lots of non-baby things and hope Murphy's law would force me to cancel them no such luck!

I had a panic attack the weekend of my due date, because I finally managed to cut the tags off a few things and wash them. I was so paranoid of something going wrong. Then I still had to go to work for three days while I was overdue, and I just wanted to punch everyone.
But, I had diarrhea LIKE WHOA, and had a crazy burst of energy the weekend before. I don't know if that was all nerves or things were progressing to a natural labor point.
With my first I went into crazy nesting mode over the weekend (and sobbed uncontrollably when my H refused to repaying the baseboards throughout our house at 11pm b/c I thought they looked dirty), then had contractions all day Monday at work and felt totally exhausted. I was certain I would wake up in labor Monday night/Tuesday am, but I woke up Tuesday feeling awesome--energized, rested, like I wasn't even pregnant. I worked a solid 12 hour day, then came home and went to sleep, bummed and feeling like the baby would never come. Then I woke up in labor at 4am on Wednesday.
i'm not sure how close i am to labour, but i just stained 45 8' boards in an hour. i ran out of stain so i need to go to Home Depot before i can finish. i've also done some minor cleaning, ran two loads of laundry, and started supper in the 2.5 hours i've been awake today.
this is quite possibly the most accomplished i've been my entire pregnancy
i feel great. i hope the kid stays put for another week, i have a lot more things on my to do list!

I had contractions for about two weeks before LO arrived. It was before the holidays so I was baking every day but I didnt sleep so well because of the contractions.
