After two two hour naps today, my kid is down for the count passed out on my chest at 7pm. Wtf? The Tylenol I gave him for his teeth may be playing a small part but he was tired before that, hence the earlier bedtime routine and Tylenol dose.
DS2 turned 5 months today and we made it up to IKEA to pick up a highchair since I can no longer stand that FP space saver.
So, I mixed a little 2oz bottle of Similac from the hospital with some oatmeal expecting a cute photo and a mess. But instead he ate the whole thing. Opened his mouth like a little bird. This was two hours ago and he has been so content since then instead of a hungry (adorable) monster like he normally is in the evenings. I know people say that solids are just for fun before one blah, blah, blah. I don't know if it's just my kids or what, but they are always so hungry by the time we start solids. Here's to a night of sleep! At least I can hope!
So DH and I had relations yesterday and were not responsible about taking proper precautions AT ALL. I was like whatever and breezy because I thought I didn't O until this coming Sunday. Nope, according to my chart I O'd yesterday. No I'm in a panic and will be paranoid until my period shows up.
Hate to say it, but that's how we ended up with DD...
I need to get better about keeping DD occupied without food. She now thinks the diaper bag is "snack bag" and will point and shriek at it until I give her something. It's become part of her routine when we are out - get buckled in the shopping cart, get a snack. Yikes!
So when one of BIL's step-sons moved out they decided they didn't want to take care of his cat anymore and made it an "outside" cat, meaning they let it in, sometimes, but it has to spend the night outside. I was all WTF when they told us this, I mean they have a dog too.
So step-son moved back last summer. BIL told us last weekend he kicked the cat out Friday night. Apparently the cat is now missing. My poor nephew has been posting on FB about the cat missing.
My heart breaks for him. And I'm fucking mad at my BIL. Lets just add animal cruelty to his awesome résumé.
omg. VCB's great-grandpa gave us these Raggedy Anne & Andy dolls that belonged to his sister. So they're about 75 years old. I'm all "so, we should, like, put them in a glass case and never let anyone touch them, and maybe not expose them to direct sunlight", while msniq be like "eh they're fabric; we can was them, why not let him play with them?"
You can see one of them in this pic, it's under the chair on the left. That's XSMIL, great-grandpa, and BIL's wife.
DD pooped in the tub yet again tonight. Really annoying. I'm sick of soaking all the bath toys in bleach water and having to sanitize the tub mid-bath. Oh, and cleaning all the poop out of the grooves of the bath mat, ewww. I just tossed all the squirt toys since she likes to put them in her mouth.
How do I avoid this in the future? Put her on the toilet first? She's 17 months.
TamiTaylor - I was having a similar worry until tonight. My period was supposed to come on Thurs but just came tonight (consequently, while DD was pooping in the tub). DH and I were going back through the calendar to make sure we didn't do anything too breezy, haha. My sister is getting married in June and I really want to wait until then to start TTC. For stupid reasons like I want to look good in my BM dress and I want to drink in Vegas for her bach party.

AJ was doing the baby bird act tonight too, but it was avocado and pears here. It's so cute when they realize its tasty and get excited about it!
I have been having irregular contractions all day. Most are not painful, though a few have been, and they've ranged from 4-20 min apart. I would like them to either stop or turn into something because I don't know how long I can take it.
I'm in a crappy mood that I'll just blame on February and I'm medicating with chocolate. DH and I went on MFP to lose some weight in mid-January and now I'm totally not even trying, but I don't want to admit it to him. He needs to lose a lot of weight. I lost 9 lb and I'm good with not losing any more, and all this effort tracking when I don't even want to lose weight is just way too much effort.
I need to walk away from the mom-petitions online (mostly FB, not here) as they just make me angry and tired and do not further my hopes of finding some new mom friends IRL.

This is our routine at the grocery store too. Sometimes I can get her to not eat a snack while we're shopping by letting her pick out an apple at the beginning of the trip, but then telling her that she can't eat it until we pay for it. But it doesn't always work and sometimes she ends up trying to eat onions.

And chickens987 I totally gave up on snacks in the shopping cart. I couldn't take the screeching. So pretty much any time he's in a shopping cart, he gets a banana or an apple. I figure it's healthy fruit right? Right?!?
