Our thermostat batteries are already almost dead. Grrr. We just got the thing 2 months ago. I hope it was just a bum set of batteries or else this digital thermostat isn't going to save us much money!
In happier news, Roll Up The Rim is back! Gotta make a Tim's run today Not that I ever win so much as a free donut.

I packed up all my maternity clothes yesterday and it feels so good. Of course, I have nothing to wear because my pre-preg clothes don't fit me either.

I remember this stage. I wore lots of yoga pants until I couldn't take it anymore and bought a couple pairs of affordable jeans.
DH and I are both off today and daycare is closed. We tried to get a sitter to watch DD this afternoon so we can go shopping but had no luck. So now we will take DD and cross our fingers that she will take a good nap in the stroller while we are there.
I think she's cutting either her fourth molar or canines because she's refusing to eat pretty much everything except a select few items. Pouch baby! PB baby! French fry baby! Whatever.

Yes! I'm LIVING in yoga pants. Yesterday I tried my "fat jeans" from pre-pg days and I can zip them up - -but only if I stay standing upright and don't ever plan to sit down
Daycare is closed today so DD2 & DD3 are home. DD1 has a make up snow day so is at school. DH and I are splitting the day, I'm supposed to be working from home right now but cannot for the life of me find my Key Fob thingamajig to log in remotely (so technical, I know).
When I let my manager know, she wants to assign out my work until I get into the office. WTF? I will be there, everyone else is off and shuffling my stuff that I am already working on to someone else to make our numbers look good makes me rage!! We can't even send stuff out to the clients technically because the service managers who do that part of the process are off today!!!! And I haven't had any issues with productivity this year either, it just pisses me off.
I think we're weaning. He's just not that interested anymore. We cut the morning session today and it was NBD. We will probably keep the evening session for a while since he is still pretty interested in that though. I'm thinking he will be fully weaned by 18 months in March. It makes me sad because we had such a great breastfeeding relationship, but it's time. I am ready to have my body back to myself for a few months before we try for number two.
My mother-in-law told us last night that she is going to try to convince my father-in-law to move to Kansas City. They live about four hours out of town in the country, and it is a huge pain in the butt to go see them. On the one hand, I really love them and I'm excited at the prospect of free babysitting. On the other, I'm annoyed that she framed it as "it will be so much easier for us to go visit BIL/SIL/nephews in DC if we live by the airport." I was all "AND CHARLIE WOULD LOVE IT TOO" but that got brushed off. I hate that they so obviously favor H's brother and his family.
Work is closed, daycare is open. H and I are planning to go skiing. I have so much work to do that I'm a little frantic about not working today- even though the office is closed! But, H and I really need a day date.
Dd is still sleeping but the coffee machine went off and woke me up. I'm sitting downstairs with coffee looking at Pinterest.
bunch-how is the Greenville Zoo? Okay for a day trip, or should we just head to Columbia?
Looking for weekend day trips this summer.
Butting in to your post, I haven't been to the Greenville Zoo, but I recommend getting family pass from the Western NC Nature Museum. It is $65 and it gets you free admission to the NC and Columbia zoos, Discovery Place and Nature museum downtown, Greensboro Science Center and Aquarium (that is a good day trip btw). I have used it in Chicago at the Mus. of Science and Industry. Some places will just give a discount, but it is the best $65 I have spent! There is a link on their site to all of the reciprocating locations.
DH has work but I don't. My dad is coming to visit for the day (he lives about 2 hrs away). I think we'll go to the zoo with the kids since I have some free passes. Hopefully it's not too crowded.
It's 615am and everyone is still sleeping! I'm amazed! I'm just enjoying some quiet time after my 530am workout.

Had to dump DS on the floor this morning after changing him and run for the toilet because I thought I was going to throw up on him. Poor guy was so confused, first he tried to give me hugs while I'm dry heaving, then he just hid in his nursery with a worried look on his face until I came to get him. It's going to be a long first trimester!

I like it, but we have a membership so we only spend about an hour at a time there and then hit up the playgrounds on site. If I was making a day trip, I'd probably hit Columbia. BUT Columbia does not have me and the DDs, though I suppose it could because we've been meaning to visit Riverbanks too. So basically let me know when and where you go if you're interested in a gtg .
Yesterday DS put himself on a 2-3-4 schedule, so we tried it again today. Apparently, nope! He woke up after 35 minutes of napping. Ok, kid.
gibbinator - apparently the roll up the rim cups have 2 chances to win this year! I am pumped. We're probably going to go grab a coffee later.
I thought 2-3-4 was the amount of time between naps no matter how long they are? Dd typically naps 45 min in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon but after 2/3/4 hours of waking.

Yes I am quite excited about increasing my odds of not winning anything haha!
I'm always annoyed because a friend of mine gets free coffee or donut almost every cup he buys, and I can count on one hand the number of times in my entire life I've had a winning cup
There was crazy blowing snow on my way to drop the boys off this morning, so after dropping SS at school (across town) I called my boss to see if I could WFH today. I have a training at 2pm that is 2 miles from home but 25 miles from the office, so it worked out well and I don't have to be stuck in traffic twice today.
But now my computer has been installing 1 of 13 updates for 15 minutes, so I've gotten no work done. Oh well.
DD2 is already taking a nap. She went down at 8:30. She is 20 months old and had been down to one nap after lunch for a long time. She slept fine last nite but was sick this weekend so maybe it's just catchup.
I have to work this afternoon and we are suppose to get six inches of snow white I'm at work. I don't want to dig my car out of that much snow.I don't know what's worse cold or snow.
I'm trying to come up with day trips with just ToddlerB and I after the baby comes. I want to do a few special things with just her. That may or may not be a good idea, she has become a banshee lately. "noooooo! I want it RIGHT NOW!" ugh.
Totally understand. Also our children's museum is pretty awesome (tcmupstate.org) and we went to Hands On in Hendersonville a few weeks ago and really loved it (handsonwnc.org)

Today is my first day back with the kids after finishing my 6 week intensive class. It's only 7:30 and I'm already exhausted. Thank goodness that we have a play date planned for later this morning.

M is finally taking more then a few steps at a time but has to do it with his arms straight out kind of like a Zombie and he snorts the whole time. It is pretty funny.
I am dealing with a former employee who keeps emailing because they don't like the answers I am giving them (no you can't have your job back and no we don't owe you severance) and keeps saying "I am going to contact my attorney". I swear my next email back is going to be "please do" that way we can stop this annoying back and forth. I would much rather deal with an attorney then the petty silliness.

Waiting for dd to wake up and then to drop her off at dc for awhile. I never do this but dh convinced me and it will be nice to do some shopping alone.
I'm in the middle of a four day weekend and while it has been wonderful, I am wishing it away because our anatomy scan is tomorrow afternoon. I just can't wait to know!
