We have a Capital One Venture card, so we just accumulate rewards to offset various travel expenses. Our other card is a Hilton AmEx, so same story there.
I have about $450 on my Chase Sapphire card that I haven't used for anything yet. I'm thinking of saving it and using it towards a flight when H and I are able to take a vacation again.

We use towards flights. We put everything on our Chase Freedom card and have never paid for flights in 5 years. We generally only fly 1-2 times per year, but we go internationally most of the time.
I have $2k+. Oooppps! It's been accumulating because I don't feel like it's worth it to use it on something that only gives ~10% more. I use it on something that gives at least ~20% like Lowes and car rental.

We primarily use Chase Freedom, we'll get the cash back and use it as extra spending money when we travel or for other non-regular expenses like that. This past year thought we used it for Christmas gifts.
We use our Discover cash back bonus toward something specific. 2 Years ago it was toward a trip to Mexico, last year we saved to get a new 9' christmas tree, ornaments etc and now we are saving them for H 40th bday trip to Sonoma next year.
We don't use our other cards as much so we usually use AMEX rewards for our Amazon purchases and our other card for Gift Cards but we don't nearly rack up the rewards on those as we do on Discover.
We use 3 different cash-back reward cards (Chase, Discover, and a Citi Mastercard). We save them all and cash them all out in December to pay for Christmas presents. We usually end up with around $700 in rewards.
Our citi card we just get the cash back, and usually go to a fancy dinner. Our card through our bank we use to get giftcards, sometimes to give as gifts or use them for ourselves.
We will continue to use our rewards on travel. We already have a big trip lined up in a couple years four our 10 year anniversary when our miles accumulate again.
I have Chase Sapphire and I either apply the rewards to my bill or I spend them on Amazon. From what I've seen, you don't gain anything by getting a gift card vs. cash or credit toward your bill.
I use my Barclaycard points to reimburse me for travel expenses, I try not to hoard points because they have a tendency to change the redemption rules and they tend to only get worse over time.
I use Discover points for Athleta giftcards, so Mr. GT doesn't realize the level of my addiction

RBC visa. We've gotten a hammock and stand, and a set of 2 cordless phones. I've gotten grocery gift cards a few times. Mostly we roll them over into mortgage payments since that's an option our bank gives us.

We have a Chase Freedom also, and I just redeem them back onto our credit card every few months. Reading these replies I realize it might more rewarding to save them up and cash them out for a "big" gift or Christmas gifts.

We usually cash them in around Christmas time for Visa gift cards & use them for holiday shopping.
After seeing the numbers here I am thinking we need to shop for a different rewards card. We're certainly not earning enough for travel or electronics. We are currently earning 1% of all purchases on our Visa.
What rewards card do you have & what is the earning level?
We almost always use Amazon points, but occassionally I've used it for other gift cards. It's usually something that we want that's a splurge. Our next set of points is going to either a revolv or a keyless entry lock for our house.
We have chase sapphire preferred and Amex. We mostly use the chase and get cash back. It's pretty good, but we put as much as we can on the credit card to rack up the points.
