Can you send something back to them to be embroidered or should I find a local source for embroidering? We received our baby quilt at the shower yesterday and I like the idea of hanging this on the wall with his name & birthday embroidered on the quilt. Or is this a really bad idea, as then I could not sell the bedding at a consignment sale down the road, or even possibly use it for #2? I'm sure once he's here and his name is known we will receive personalized keepsake items.
OK, new question- so if I don't have this personalized and hang it on the wall, what do you do with a small (36 x 50) crib quilt?

I don't know if you can send it back, but can you return it and then rebuy it with the store credit and then get it personalized? (and use your registry 10% off for an extra discount since its for 6 months after your event date). Or is that too much work?

I would just take it to a local place. Our place in the middle of the mall personalizes stuff from PBK, they did our anywhere chair at Christmas time. PBK directed us to them
