DD is getting over a cold, and the coughing is waking her up. I think it hurts her throat, too, because she wakes up and cries and just sounds so miserable. We've got the humidity cranked up in her room, and we gave her tylenol, but she's still been up a ton so far, and it's not even 11:00. I'm so sad for her. I wish she'd cosleep so I could just try to nurse her back to sleep right away, but she won't.

I've been trying to get DD down for 3 hours now. She seems completely uninterested in sleep even though she must be exhausted, she only napped for about an hour today
Uh, this might be the night we ditch the pacifier for bedtime? It fell out, but he's still quiet swaddled in the crib. If I go out it back he might melt down seeing daddy.
Ah just as I wrote this, the first whimper started. So this might not work.

Fuck. I just need them BOTH to sleep through the night. I'm caring for little people all through the day & night and I'm starting to get a bit edgy & snappish. So far one wake up from the baby...
I just got home from taking DD to the ER for a super high fever that wasn't responding to Motrin/Tylenol. Ugh. The good news is we were there for less than three hours. The bad news is it's 1:37 AM and she just went to bed. Oh, and also that she has a double ear infection. I'd asked her several times if anything hurt and she kept telling me no.
All three kiddos are at least mildly sick. Tomorrow should be fun.
Wake up #1 seemed to of went fast but I'm waiting to see if he's really back asleep before laying down. He had his one month appt and he weighs 9lbs10.5 oz and has grown an inch since he was born.

Wake up 1. She went down at 8, I went to bed at 830. 6 hrs is a good stretch.
How long do babies go through this witching hour deal? She was so upset from 630-8. Full out screaming mode while DH held her, the just fussy whimpering when I took her.
2nd wakeup. J woke up for the day an hour and a half early and then went to bed tonight an hour and a half early. I'm wondering what time he will decide to be up for the day.
He woke back up after my first attempt at setting him down so a little more rocking and I'll try again
I stayed up late tonight watching a movie with H, counting on the babies doing their now almost usual 5 hr stretch of sleep. Nope. Three hours, so minutes after I fell asleep. I'm so tired.
Idiot dh turned on the space heater in dd2's room last night. (On every night really low to keep chill out if her room) We didn't check on her when we went to bed. She woke at 4am and I eventually went into her. The room was like a sauna!! Idiot had turned it up and then forgotten about it. Why he changed it I have no idea!!!
She's been settling herself back to sleep recently but no chance of that with how warm the room was. Oh and then he went to give her a bottle "cos she seemed to be wide awake" - dude is just fed her, like I told you. She doesn't need a full feed at 5am!! (I went back in before he could give it to her - I heard the microwave)
And then she woke at 7am for her morning feed and he didn't budge. And did I mention I was awake from 2am with my cold/sore throat?
Third wake up here...I am so tired. My H is out of town for work and has been for days. Of course both babies are up more than usual when it's just me on duty. I'm starting to feel slightly hysterical on this little sleep :-P
Woke up at 6am...not sure if that counts as MOTN. She normally sleeps until 8. DD wanted her "ba-ba" (sippy of milk), she drank it and then went back to bed until 8:30.

I made the mistake of not waking up ds for a feeding at 10pm, which threw of his schedule. He usually does 2 5hr stretches. Tonight he went from 7-12 then just woke up again at 4am. I like it much better when hr goes from 10-3, then wakes up again at 8am.
Wake up 1 after a 4.5 hour stretch. I know that's great, but I was hoping for a little longer since it took DD so long to go down for the night. Now I just have to hope she'll go back down for a bit after she's done eating. I'd take just another solid hour at this point.

Man I hope these wakeups aren't Part II of the 4MW, a couple of weeks after Part I ended. I really hope it's just because of her cough (no fever or other discomfort though) so that we know it's temporary. Took an hour and a half to get her to sleep last night plus multiple wakeups (for both DH and I). Since I have to go to work today DH will take her to the pediatrician this morning to make sure it's nothing more serious and/or give us more treatment suggestions beyond what we've been trying. My poor baby, I guess not getting sick for the first time until 1.5 months since the start of daycare is pretty good?
Two wake ups. Both were 30 minutes, but I have to hold her upright for 20 - 30 minutes due to reflux. The first one I held her for 20 and put her in her crib. For the second one, however, I needed to pump so I tried to prop her up in her new Boppy pillow. It didn't work. I only got 18 minutes of attempted squiggling out of her before she started crying. I stopped pumping, she drank a little more milk and luckily went back to sleep. I am skipping the sit-up phase this time. I resumed pumping for another 10 minutes and now I can't sleep.
I need to time the pumping to be before she wakes up. Sigh.
Up again. I'm boy sure what number. He has been up to eat every 2.5 hrs which isn't outside his normal. But, we have also had to go in prior to feeding times to rock him 3 times tonight which is abnormal. Hopefully we can get one more stretch of sleep
Tonight has been so much better, back to waking up every three hours or so. I think last night might have been my fault, I was trying something out and seeing if I could leave him in a sleeper and just blanket swaddle him. Looks like nope, we need the SwaddleMe. I was really hoping it would work because that thing is a pain in the ass for diaper changes and he always seems to get at least one arm out and it pisses him off. Oh well. In other news, H and I are not doing well :/ he has a cold/ some sinus stuff going on and we've been fighting about just random stuff. He didn't even say goodbye before he went to work last night
Dd2 knows when I google night weaning. I just heard her wake up for the first time in 12 hrs.
Dd1 was up twice, but I never went in. No crying, just lots of chanting "mommy and daddy can I come get in your bed please?" Which she's done like twice ever.
Ugh. I've been up since 4:30. I do not understand why DD won't go back down in her bassinet after her first wake up. She used to no problem, and would give us a 2-3 hour stretch, but now she wakes up in about 10 minutes. The best I've gotten in the past few days has been 40 minutes.
