That's sad about Brooks... they're my favorite, although I haven't bought new ones in a while. Good to know that former Brooks fans like Mizuno though, I've been curious about those.
Mary, my H has weird neutral flat feet too, and he wears Saucony. As far as I know he's been happy with them
I just bought a new pair of Brooks yesterday to replace the pair I had. This thread bums me out. I really hope they don't fall apart on me sooner than the 6 months they usually last.
Mary- I have weird feet too and Saucony was my go to before this particular style of Brooks. I was also fitted and evaluated in the store and bought based on their suggestions.

Another vote for Asics. My last pair lasted for years. My latest running around shoe is New Balance. They are clunkier but they hold up to daily wear and tear well. Also any problem you are having is clearly all your fault damn it.
I *think* there is a disconnect because running shoes are expected to wear out after two and a half months. So asking for running shoes that don't wear out after two and a half months begs the response "maybe don't wear running shoes." The response is actually germane to the question, because the answer is that running shoes (of any brand) typically only last 2.5 months of daily wear.
Whether cross-trainers last longer I don't know. But I change my running shoes after every three months.
I have a mizuno pair and an asics pair right now. I like both of them.
I wore brooks for years, but switched a few months ago when the new version of my shoe sucked. It's a stability shoe (ariel) but the new version was causing pronation.
Lol and I don't run either, but I'm almost always wearing running shoes.

I'm throwing in another vote for Saucony. I've had several pair of running shoes made by them and they've all held up really well. I also really liked my pair of Rykas.
I adore my Brooks & I've gotten 300-400 miles out of each pair, so I have no clue about quality issues. That part isn't helpful, but this next part might be! Lol Before I switched to Brooks, I was faithful to Asics for years. I know a lot of people who go back & forth between those two, so if you liked Brooks, you might like Asics. I wore the Cumulus, and only switched because I wanted a more lightweight/minimal shoe.
My most recent brooks have been shitty and my sister got a pair at the same time with them falling apart in a month. Super sad bc I have horrible shin splints due to multiple stress fractures in college track and my old brooks were amazing. I will be getting new shoes in a couple months and have no idea what brand to try next.
I have a neutral foot but a high arch, so not the same
I love my Puma's which actually feel pretty flat. I also like my Reebok RealFlex's, they are super light and hug my foot. They do support my arch decently so they might not be for you. I run in Nike's and they are super comfy.

I currently wear brooks with no problems, but my last pair were saucony and I liked them a lot. The virratas are their neutral/flat shoe, I liked it a lot.
