So I've been asked a few times if I feel different this time vs. last and people keep commenting that it's an indication of if it will be another girl or a boy. I honestly think my symptoms are the same as last with DD save for different timing that probably has more to do with it being my 2nd pg (bloated earlier, nausea earlier, etc).
Anyway, I just wanted to know from any moms on their 2nd or more pg if they noticed more significant differences between their boy pg vs. their girl pg or not?
FTM here, and definitely not an expert. But I see absolutely no scientific reason why different chromosomes in your child would give you different pregnancy symptoms. Symptoms are mostly due to hormone levels, right? And those are secreted by the mom, not the baby. So it makes no sense to me why people would ask you this, or why it would even be true in the first place.
I had pretty easy pregnancy first time around and this time was really sick until week 18. Both babies are same gender so there went that theory for me...
I've had completely different "symptoms" this time versus last time. We won't find out the sex until 3/3, so I can't verify any of this yet. Everyone thinks this baby is a girl (our first is a boy). I kinda do too, so it'll be interesting to see. I can't wait!!
I am sure it means nothing, but the morning sickness has been so much worse this time around. With my girls I was able to wean off m/s meds around 18 weeks or so with no issues. Now (it's a boy) even WITH meds I still get sick regularly at almos 33 weeks.
I was sicker this time in the first tri but other than that it seems similar.
People say they "knew it" when I say it's a boy this time because I am "all belly" or "all out front" but I look the same this time as last time when I was pregnant with a girl. Well my belly is maybe a bit bigger but that's just 2nd pregnancy. I don't think I'm carrying differently.

I suspect that you would actually have slightly different hormone levels when pregnant with a male fetus vs female fetus. In fact a little googling brought up this article, which is interesting: www.scientificamerican.com/article/differences-between-boys/
My sister worked in an Ob/Gyn office for 10 years and the general consensus was that you were way sicker (morning sickness) with a girl. That has been very true for me. I will find out on Friday if that holds true. If itdoes this is a girl!!
All the other old wives tales like where you are carrying are not so true in my opinion. I am carrying very low this time and it is because after 3 other babies in there I have no muscles or ligaments to hold it higher!!!

So I don't believe any of it!
For every one of my pregnancies, I had strangers patting my belly and swearing up and down I was having a BOY! Yep, that is just the way I carry, lol

Overall there has not been too much difference. I threw up more with my first pregnancy. I still need to keep food by the bed and I am finally able to get out of bed without eating. My gag reflex is very sensitive and it was that way the first time as well. First was a girl, this one is a boy.
I hear the morning sickness thing a lot (that you have more of it with girls) but I have twin girls and hardly had any morning sickness in first tri. My coworker has twins girls also and she did not either.
DD's pregnancy was super easy; no sickness ,no extreme fatigue, no real symptoms at all. Overall great pregnancy. This pregnany is exactly the same and it's a boy.
