My anniversary is next month. For me at least, it is tied very closely with ttc efforts. Last year we were trying so hard to stay positive despite not having any luck. So it is just really really great to be able to take our anniversary trip this time with our dogs AND the miniature +1.
Anyway, I want to get dh something baby related or dad-related, but idk what. Nothing expensive or fancy since we really do the weekend getaway in lieu of gifts, but I want to do something small...
How many years are you celebrating? What's the traditional gift for that year? Maybe that could give you something to go off? You could always just write a sweet, sappy note about what a great dad he's going to be (sniff).
Does he wear (manly) jewellery? You could get him a nice piece, or a nice watch, and include a note that you'll engrave it with baby's name once that's been chosen.

Oh that's a cute take. Sooo Hallmark says 6 years is Candy/Iron for traditional, and Wood (heh heh) for modern.
I guess I could do like a bouquet of Sugar Daddies or something. haha.
I already made him cry with a Valentine's day card from baby. YESSS. lol
I bought DH two books for Valentine's Day and he absolutely loved it. I got him a father's guide for the first year and also a board book to read to baby called The Best Daddy of All Time....I think. There are other cute books out there that are dad specific and super cute. I think I almost had DH in tears, he loved it!
i got him a few baby things for christmas this year. i think his favorite was the baby onesie from his college alma mater with the smallest pair of socks i've ever seen in my life. i also got a bunch of geeky onesies from thinkgeek.com. he's a star wars and star trek fan so they made him pretty happy too.
