I've been feeling the baby move since 16 weeks (I'm 22 today). But all the movement has been really really low, way below my belly button. I've rarely felt anything higher this whole time, the movement always seems to be in about the same spot. Is this normal? I'm 5'1, not sure if that matters. And sorry if this is a dumb question lol.
Normal. The top of your uterus (the fundus) is only at your belly button at 20 weeks. Most movement will be felt below that for awhile and it also depends on where your placenta implanted.

Ok, thanks! That makes sense, I guess I just figured over the span of 6 weeks it would change more. Googling was getting me all sorts of different answers so I appreciate it
Just agreeing with everyone else - normal! I can't remember when I started feeling movement higher up, but I know I was still feeling low stuff at 28 weeks and then when we went for an ultrasound she was already head down. She must have been using her little arms a lot those days, now it's almost always little feet up in my ribcage!
I am about a week ahead of you. I mostly feel him hip to hip at about my pant line. It's just been in the past week or so that I have started feeling him up higher occasionally and he feels like he is all over the place sometimes. Mainly he is still pretty low though.
It's also possible you have a high and slightly anterior placenta which would dull movements at the top of your uterus.
At my ultrasound at 19 weeks she said it was...in the back I think? Normal, regardless. I might still ask about it at my appointment on Monday just to be safe lol.

The placenta can move as you grow so even if it is posterior (on the back) it could still be high up.
That being said, I'm 20 weeks and hubs felt him kick tonight basically down at my pelvic bones. They're still pretty tiny and have a lot of room to wiggle around at this stage.

Good to know!
Yup, that's where it's been kicking. My husband basically puts his hands down my pants to feel the baby kick lol.
