If you got Mirena and kept getting periods

when did the first post-insertion one come?

Bonus points if you got the Mirena immediately post-partum.

I got the Mirena inserted at my 8w PP appointment at the beginning of June and no period yet. I don't think I was BFing enough to affect my periods (have pretty much stopped now anyway) and I'm just wondering if I should be carrying around "surprise, your period is here!" stuff everyday just in case.

I never got one. Like you I had one inserted 8 weeks pp. then I nursed until 4 months. It never came back.

In fact I haven't had a period since March 2007. I got pregnant again right when we took it out. I get another one next week at 6 weeks pp. Maybe I can keep the streak alive lol.

I got mine inserted at 7 weeks pp in Nov 2010 and no period yet.

Had mine inserted at 6 weeks PP, and nursed until my LO was 4 months and I got my period a week later
Super sad I didn't luck out.

Had mine inserted at 8-10 weeks postpartum. Already had a period. Then after the IuD, I had more bleeding than ever. 14 days in a row, 1 week off, bleeding again for about 2 months. Now nothing.

I had mine inserted 6 years (yes years) postpartum. Had 2 periods very light and now nothing for 6 months.

AF mostly (a spot here and there) stayed away until DD was 1ish (at which point I didn't completely wean, but dropped all pumping sessions)

She came back with a vengeance. I got a day or two off here and there, but fr the most part, I bled constantly until I got sick of it and got the thing out.

I had Mirena inserted about 3 months pp. I was exclusively breastfeeding but when I stopped, I started getting my period. My cycles are pretty regular, but my "period" is more like a few days of spotting. Not enough to need more than a pantyliner.

I must have bad luck. I had mine inserted at 8 weeks pp and bled for about three months straight. I got so sick of it tht the dr gave me estrogen patches to try to stop it. That worked until I changed a patch two hours late. Then I started bleeding again. Now I have 9 day periods every 26-28 days. Plus, I've had digestive issues. I'm about to get the thing taken out. I got it to stop having periods. Has anyone else had digestive issues?
