I love that song. My mom used to rewind it and play it on repeat in the car. That and The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia, I was too young to understand what really happened in that song though, I always thought the judge did it haha

Man, when I was little I used to listen to the lyrics of this song so hard because I did not know what was happening. I did this with The Thunder Rolls too.
I freaking love that song. It was my favorite song as a child. I wrote Reba and told her that I would name my first daughter Fancy. Little did I know what I was really promising. I still can't believe my parents let me write that letter. Reba sent me a signed pic back! lol
I'm picturing in my mind's eye someone like Beatrice Arthur, in her delightful baritone, reading the lyrics to "Fancy" out loud, in a dramatic reading.
"Here's your one chance, Fancy. Don't let me down."
a local radio dj (man) used to sing it on his show, it was hilarious!

I'm so late to this thread, but I'm dying laughing.
We (me & my sister) had a karaoke machine when we were kids (why did my parents thing this was a good idea?) we sang the shit out of some Garth brooks and John Michael Montgomery... Sold (The Grundy county auction incident), anyone? C'mon now, that is good jam.
I wouldn't be caught dead singing in front of a crowd, but when I get together with my sister & one of our friends.. Fancy, ALL DAY LONG. I've only recently seen the music video.. Oh Reba, how I love thee.
