OK, so I used to be young and wear heels and wedges all the time, but now I'm old and my feet always hurt, and I just want to be comfy.
So. I'm looking for spring/summer footwear. Something that'll go with casual dresses or jeans/shorts. Something pretty multi-functional.
I can't believe I'm about to type this. I hate myself a little right now. But I think I'm debating between Toms or Birkenstocks. I am in ugly, elderly hipster hell.
Show me a door three! I am totally open to a door three!!!
Guys. I used to be so cute.
I live in Houston, where summer is hotter than hell. So I either wear Havianas or cheap sandals from F21. I have them in a metallic color and a tan color.
These are cute. I worry about arch support, though. But I do like them, and for less than $10, I can certainly give them a try.
Also, thank you for helping and not just laughing at me like the rest of these jackholes.

I second pagas's recommendation for cheapie Forever 21 sandals. I've actually worn mine for a couple of summers, and they are still in good shape (I think they were only $14).
i think the birks are fine. they are much better looking than the more popular 'friendly giant' style of birks. i wouldn't wear them to work though = they are more of a weekend, farmer's market, strolling type of shoe.
toms are terrible. i like them in theory, but in reality, the toe is too deep and it is a very unflattering shoe on so many people b/c of this.
i like the ones that pagas posted. i would skip the F21 version b/c they aren't great quality and go for maybe a steve madden version? still affordable, but you should be able to get 5 months out of them.
this is for work, yes? if so, i would also buy a couple of ballet flats - my preference is opened toes flats for summer (for work), but they are so hard to find sometimes!
Not for work, for everything else. I'm good on work shoes. I need something to wear wandering around town.
And THANK YOU, I like the Birks, too. In the lighter color, I think.
