I've done basically nothing and am 33 weeks. I washed a few newborn onesies and PJs and can't remember how many I need to have? NB or 0-3? I have like 3 PJs, and definitely need to buy some more.
The crib is installed (never took it down when we got Sophia out of it a year ago), we just need to raise the mattress. And dig the bassinet out of the basement storage.
Other things on my to-do: - wash my wraps and sling - wash my newborn diapers - buy one pack of newborn or size 1 for the hospital - buy a carseat with an adapter for my Bugaboo. I have a Bugaboo Frog, do they still sell adapters for those? I had a Peg Perego with my girls and hated it, it weighed a million lbs. A friend recommended Maxi Cosi. Thoughts? - make freezer meals. My mom is coming to help during spring break (first week of march). - buy a swing. My old one is pretty much dead, it was swinging funny at the end with Sophia.
I'm a first-time mom, so I may be talking out of my butt, but it sounds like you've got a handle on everything. You need diapers, a car seat to bring the baby home from the hospital, and a place for the baby to sleep, so you've got that covered. Other random things: cleaning your breast pump (if you are planning to BF), gathering giant pads and potentially making padsicles for post-partum recovery, arranging for childcare when you are in the hospital. The other thing on my to-do list before baby is to get a haircut, manicure, and pedicure. Treat yoself.
Just dig out your whole layette and wash it, lol. I think this biggest thing is digging all that stuff out and cleaning it off early since it might be musty or whatever else. A girl on another board found cat puke in one of her infant carseats and had to take the time to wash it out. So just don't leave that stuff till the last minute since you dunno what you might find.
I guess 10 onesies to start out? You can just go buy a 5 pack of them if you need to.
