I want to preserve Vs footprints... I don't know what type of ink the hospital used :/ I just don't want to go back in a few years and see the only memento is faded/gone what's the best way to do it?

I think they use high quality stuff too but I am not sure. I have been meaning to go back and scan the footprints that the hospital made that way I have it in the computer at least.
If you plan on DIY you should have two people. It is so hard to get their footprints.
ummm, ok, so I guess I never updated on TN board & apparently that was my first post over here (although maybe I have a different account here b/c I know I posted when gbcn was first created --- I'm smbd on the TN too).
I had a late m/c. Vivian's heart stopped at 18weeks & I had a d&e at 19w2d. I don't know how many people rolled her feet or what type of ink they used. We were lucky to be able to get prints at all. I wanted to do something to ensure that I didn't lose what I did have.
eta: I do have them photographed & on the computer so I have a digital copy of them, I just don't want anything to happen to the actual copy that her feet touched, kwim?
I'm pretty sure hospitals use archival ink, so you should be fine. But if you want to be extra sure, the easiest way to preserve something like that is to laminate it. Most Fedex/Kinkos or UPS stores have laminating services.
They also make sprays for archiving things that aren't acid-free. I've never used one, though, so I can't tell you if it would cause any discoloration or anything.
