Well you'll need an ob at some point for full prenatal care, so I would go ahead and get some recs and call them now. New patient appointments can take a while to schedule depending on the practice, so this way you can get on their books. Depending on the practice, the first ob appt is generally between 6 and 10 weeks.
I personally just go off of recommendations of people I trust for obgyns and then make an appointment. Worst case scenario, you disagree with their opinion and find someone else, but at least you got your first appt taken care of. That's my feeling, anyway.

Congratulations!!
I agree with everything FastHands said. I would definitely look at getting an OBGYN now, so if the first one you go with doesn't make you feel comfortable, you're not scrambling to find a new one.
My OB did my first appointment at ~10 weeks, which I felt was a little late, but moreso because I wasn't prepared for needing to wait that long, but the theory was that I was healthy and had no previous miscarriages or problems, so I was low-risk.

Yay thanks! I found a really nice OB-GYN that has gotten great reviews. I scheduled a consultation with them on March 10th. They said I will talk with their coordinator about the pregnancy and schedule an u/s and pap.
As for the OTC prenatals, is there a specific kind/brand I should get?

For prenatals I like the gummy kind. They don't have iron in them so if you want/need that you will either need another supplement/to find one with iron in them.
I like the CVS brand best they are super yummy. I have tried the target brand too but they are not as good.

You've gotten great advice from pp's so I won't rehash, but as far as prentals, I used the Target brand with DHA until I started on an RX version I got at my 6w appt. I personally think they can't be that different from an OTC version, but H was adamant we go that route.

I love gummy vitamins. I'm looking online now before I head to CVS after work. I noticed the two brands of gummies they sell don't have iron in them. The non-gummy brands do. I may get those instead </3.
Thanks everyone for all your help! This will be my 2nd home for the next 35 weeks .
They have been easy on my stomach. I take it at night, just in case. I supplement with DHA, per my doctor's advice, which i highly recommend starting immediately. It's important for the baby's neurological development.

I like that they are made in the US and I really like the quality of the company, they have high standards for their products. There are seven pills you have to take, but I don't mind. I'm use to taking them all now.

I have the same ones as IndiaInk. I like that they are natural and have a lot of supplements, like red raspberry leaf, which supports uterus health. I also take an omega 3 supplement, which has DHA.

I ended up buying this one:
It has the DHA, Folic Acid, Iron and etc that you all suggested. Gosh, I didn't realize these pills are so huge. The other ones that CVS had either had no iron or I had to take two pills. This should be fun.
