Yes indeed! It's definitely not a swipe on last minute without thought color. I'll have to plan my whole face around it. Maybe even buy more makeup to go with it. Oh, the. horror.
LOL
I am discovering that I really, really love the lip color as the focus of the face look. So I'm definitely intrigued by that orange!
I hate my eye makeup this morning. Debating whether to start over or to add to make it work. I think I'm just too pale for black eyeliner. Another thumbs down for my "best of sephora" free gift.
Wearing the sunset look, and it's way more everyday wearable than I'd think. With Fuchsia Flash, it's magnificent.

Surprising, isn't it? It's easy to forget that eye color can be layered as light or as heavy as you like. Just because the sample photo shows makeup that can be seen from space doesn't mean you have to wear it that way.
Managed to save my eye makeup. You don't get to see the rest of my face because it's impossible to get a cute pic with a visor on. (Headed to a backyard BBQ).
You get what you pay for. The orange I kept is so pigmented. Way more than even UD. However, in this situation more is better. I can't really afford Nars prices for the sheer volume I want.
Which color did you keep?
I'm seriously considering a duo in colors I will use frequently. I've got a 10% off coupon for making VIB that I've got to use by May 9 or something, so when combined with Ebates, it's a little less horrifying.
Persia - the orange I'm wearing in the pic I reposted this morning. I looked for a dup, no such luck.

I think we have very similar taste in makeup, because that was the shade that leapt out at me at Sephora and caused me to fall in love. It's just stunning!
Alright, today I tried my pink eyeliner (UD Woodstock). I don't know how well you can see it in this picture. I think the color is fun, but it's a really soft liner and blends a little too easily, especially compared to my other UD liners.
Also on my eyes is UD liner in Vice, some neutral Tarte shadow, and They're Real.
On the rest of the face - tried out my sample of NARS tinted moisturizer and I think I love it, Bite in Violet on the lips, Josie Maran illuminator, and Lollitint on the cheeks.
H's first remark when he saw it was that he loves the lipstick. I wonder if he's been reading this thread and figured out what to say to avoid the pitchforks.

Looks great! I think you're right about the similar taste in make up. That lip color is right up my alley. I loved the Nars tinted moisturizer last Saturday. It's on my list for future purchases. It went on so easily and really held up for the day. Right now I'm up to my eye balls in foundations, BB cream and now CC cream.
Speaking of CC cream, I'm having better luck with the physicians formula than wawa did.

it's my favorite way to do it...
It's one of the reasons why I'm loving the bright orange, bright pink, violet lip colors... because traditionally that look = a red lip, which I LOVE, but which really doesn't look great for spring / summer, and, well, has a certain something to it that you don't want to wear ALL.THE.TIME.
So, I have an orangey-coral color, a bright pink, a frosty pink, and a violet. What other brilliant lip colors do I want need???

I think I need to move ozone higher on the to purchase list. With the stronger colors I've notice a bit of feathering that I don't normally have. Also...this morning I woke up and still had traces (stained) of MAC pink pigeon even though I scrubbed it off with make up remover.
ETA: I've also been thinking about getting NYX's lip primer or the wonder pencil.
I just busted open a bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs (don't ask) and they smell exactly like the Chocolate Bar palette. Now I know why I love the smell so much.
how do you like the matte powder? i almost bought that and the rimmel bb cream the other day
It's ok... I have very oily skin and it keeps me dry for 3-4 hours. Ive been using it with bb cream and haven't tried it with foundation yet. I would like to find something better I think, but it's not bad for the price.
