Where is a good place other than Motherhood to buy nursing bras? I am ok ordering online even. I had a bad experience at Motherhood today and won't be shopping there again so I need to find somewhere else to buy some reasonably priced bras. I have a really limited maternity selection where I live, Motherhood is really it other than a small Target.
I bought a maternity/nursing bra at target earlier this week that I love. It's a simple sports bra type but with no underwire or tags and a short of stretchy material on the shoulders for easy pull-down for nursing. I've lived in it these past few days and am considering buying more.
I will say that my normal bra, barely there underwire, has snaps at the top of the cups. I love these bras but could never understand the snap (the straps aren't fully removable, and not long enough to convert to criss-cross)... and then I got pg and was like "OoooOOoooh! Score!!" Lol. I'm busting out and will need to size up, but they are cheap and comfy, so I'm happy.
ETA: I just googled them, and apparently it IS intended for making criss-cross straps.... giant shoulders ruining my life again. Lol
Any recommendations on which Bravado bra or tank? Since there are several I'm not sure which to choose!
@kirkette could probably speak on which styles are best for nursing, but I got the Body Silk Seamless Bra and so far it's great. Super comfortable.
Sweet, the Body Silk is the one I have in my Amazon cart so far. I've been living in one nursing cami and am desperate for something else. They are pricey but I'm hoping they have some actual support. I look so saggy since having the baby and not wearing my underwire bras!

The Body Silk is my favorite. I got them at my hospital's boutique but Amazon also carries them for $5 less or so.
Man, now I want to spend like $300 on the Bravado website. And I don't even know what size I'll need post-pregnancy! Time to walk away from the computer.

LOL, don't hit send until after you have baby and your milk comes in. It's okay to a have one or two before birth. Yet, there's no way to predict how much your boobs will grow after baby is born. Signed 40 D the day I delivered, but 40 G two days later when milk came in through the 1st 13 months of breastfeeding.
We're the same size K - did you ever find a nursing tank that was truly supportive enough to wear alone?

So what item(s)/size do you get before birth so that you have something on hand? I was a 36D pre-pg, and have been 36DDD since about 8 weeks. I bought a few XL nursing tanks at target, but they are definitely not going to be supportive enough to leave the house/have anyone but close girlfriends over.
I would definitely get one of these before baby arrives- they are VERY forgiving size wise. I didn't buy one before and then BAMB I woke up, my milk came in and my boobs were huge and nothing fit them. I wish I had bought one sleep bra prior so I at least had something to wear. www.diapers.com/p/majamas-the-easy-bra-8338
confession- my boobs looked like crap the entire time I nursed because I didn't buy one with an underwire- I wore these the entire time... they are really sleep bras though, but are great for ML, around the house. So comfortable!!

I really want to get something like that, but all the ones I've seen are sized along the S, M, L sizing, and I'm not sure what you're supposed to do if you have a smaller band size (32 pre-pregnancy, 34 right now) but giant boobs (currently in a G cup, gulp!).

I'm a 34 or 36H and got a similar sleep bra from somewhere else. I am having problems with fit. I got an XL and the cups are just right but the band is far too loose. Which wouldn't be a big deal normally except the fact that I need some support to keep sore nipples from rubbing when I move at night.
So I realize this is not helpful but wanted to let you know that it is a real concern. I bought an XL Bravado nursing tank made by Medela from BRU though that is perfect because it's made of a stretchy spandex material so it's not too obviously big.
