So I've decided I'm going to wean when I go back full time in mid-June. I don't want to pump and it will allow me to start meds that I think I really need. I have about 75-100oz in the freezer.
1. Would you continue pumping until mid June and stash that milk in the freezer so that you could continue to give at least bottle of BM a day until DD is one (she'll still nurse at least 2x a day until then)? or 2. Continue pumping until mid June and continue on the current system of giving DD everything you pump + the frozen milk that you have (not quite making enough for her to eat right now) so that she gets full BM until 10 months and then full formula until she's 1?
Do you know if she will drink formula? If she will, I would just do full BM until 10 months, then switch. If you think she may have issues with the transition, I would ration out the BM and mix it with the formula.

I would do this too.
As they get closer and closer to 1, milk/formula makes up a smaller percentage of their diet anyway. I'd want to give the BM where it was going to be a larger portion of the diet.
Any BM is great, of course, but I'm not sure if one bottle of BM a day would make a difference as far as immune system and other benefits? I don't want to imply she wouldn't benefit, because she would, of course! Just that I, personally, would want to concentrate the "benefits" she'll be getting. If that makes sense. :-)

I would do this. Also, I would be afraid DD would refuse the 1 BM bottle a day.
I started introducing formula one bottle a day around 10 months bc I went back to work and my supply fell, just couldn't pump enough. She just flat out didn't drink it unless it was mixed with BM.
