We are planning on a few days in Vegas with our kids (7 & 4). The plan initially was to rent a home with a HEATED pool but I'm having a hard time finding something so I'm looking for suggestions. We will have a car and prefer not to stay on the strip. Any ideas?
Did you look at hotels out at lake Las Vegas? I think it's the Westin now (it's changed ownership a few times) there has a nice pool with a big water slide for the kids. We've stayed there before and my friend that is a Vegas local likes to just stay there for the weekend with her kids because they love the pool.
I'm really surprised you are having a hard time finding a home with a heated pool. And depending on when you are coming you probably won't need it to be heated anyway. We house hunted for 2 years and out of the 100+ homes we looked at only 3 didn't have a pool. They are extremely common here and I'd imagine even more so for rental homes. If you need help on particular locations PM me and I can try to help.
Lake Las Vegas is a good suggestion. You could also check out the JW Marriott and Red Rock. Any reason why you don't want to stay on or near the strip? Giving us more information may help us give you suggestions dAZ.

I just figured off the strip would be more kid friendly. One of my friends grew up in Vegas and she has me scared it will be "too cold" to swim the end of March. The kids love to swim and we plan on that being one of our main sources of entertainment which is why I was looking for heated. I can find rentals with pools but finding heated is a bit harder (or they want an additional $80-100 per day to heat). We'd like to spend ~$250/night and have 2 or 3 bedrooms. We will be there the end of March and at this point I'm open to anything. I will check out your suggestions. Thanks!

IMO staying on the strip with kids is better. There's tons to do--dolphin habitat at Mirage, flower garden at Bellagio, roller coasters for older kids, midway at NYNY and Circus Circus, Adventuredome at Circus Circis, lots of family friendly restaurants. That being said, I don't know that you'll find a place with a heated pool that also has 2-3 bedrooms for under $250 a night in March. March is an extremely busy time to come with March Madness and Spring Break.
I recommend looking at condo complexes like Signature at MGM. Also, have you tried to look for a timeshare? If you rent through an owner you don't have to sit through a presentation. A timeshare is my recommendation, there are a bunch for a really good rate on redweek.com and vrbo.com. We've also been lucky finding ones on ebay. Some that we like: Polo Towers, Jocky Club, Hilton (on the strip but very far north), Marriott Chateau. I'll try to think of more.
March is a tough month to predict weather-wise. Some years it's so hot that the pools open in early March, other times the pools don't open until April. We have 80 degree weather right now but this time last year it was much cooler.

I was going to suggest Vdara but it is on the strip. It is a non-smoking hotel. The rooms have a small kitchen and lving room area. It is connected to Bellagio so it it quite centric but still quiet because it doesnt have a casino.

Great suggestion. We recently stayed there with our kids.
