my hair looks the best when I take the time to blow it out with a large round brush. I twirl it away from my face.
I bought this hot air brush which I like, but I find the results don't last as long as an old fashioned blow out.
I also have found that good products are just as important (or more important) than tools. this protector smooths my hair out when it's wet, making it more manageable to work with. After my hair is dried/styled I add a dab of moroccan oil to the ends.
I have curly hair, and I try not to blow it out too often because it's too damaging. But when I do, the round brush is my best friend. I use a flat iron sometimes, but I prefer to use a very large barreled curling iron, like 2 inches. It smooths any frizz but gives it more body than the flat iron.

I wash every other day and straighten it. Occasionally blow dry which looks better. I wish I could do more with my hair but I have just never gotten the hang of styling it.
I have very thick wavy hair. On most days, I am lazy and just scrunch some mousse in and dry slightly with a diffuser, letting it air dry the rest of the way. Every so often I straighten it with a flat iron or a round brush and blow dryer (but I am not good at blowing my hair straight. I feel like I need an extra arm).
I want to try something new and get a big-barreled curling iron. I'm just not sure if I have the patience to fully blow dry my hair and then curl it on a regular basis. It is really thick and just drying it takes forever.

I have longish, thick hair. I only wash it about once a week.
After I wash I blow dry, then a few hours later or the next day I will straighten it. Occasionally, I will have to fix a few spots with the straightener, if its gotten wet.
