So the sore huge boobs, fatigue, constipation, and even a bit of nausea (I COULD NOT go near the raw chicken to cook dinner last night!) is starting to creep into my list of symptoms, yet I keep having people ask me "And you're probably sick of having to pee all the time, too!"
Nope. I sleep through the night - which is actually something I NEVER did before being pregnant. I use to get up 1-2 times a night and now I sleep straight through and pee in the am. During the day I don't notice an increase in the amount of trips to the bathroom.
Maybe it's too early for that all to start, and I do drink at least 64 fl oz of water a day (carry a water bottle around constantly) but compared to my pre-preggo peeing, not much is different. I've been told, besides the boobs hurting, the constant peeing is one of the first symptoms.
Anyone else "miss" this symptom, or do am I likely to have it hit me sometime next week?
I'm on the mobile site so I can't see how far along you are, but maybe your uterus just isn't big enough to cause this "symptom" yet. Enjoy this time, because I'm sure it'll hit you soon enough.
Yep, I have never had this symptom either! Not in the beginning and still not now and I'm 24 weeks. I drink 3L of water a day and my pee is dilute so I'm not worried I'm not getting enough fluid, so I'm trying to enjoy not having this symptom for as long as it lasts! Maybe we have very elastic bladders?

I'm a little over six weeks so there is no way my uterus is large enough for that, but I've been told the increased volume in my blood should cause an increase in urination. I'm like "nope". Other mommas I've talked to are shocked I haven't had the pee constantly symptom yet as they were peeing a ton right away. But, like they say, every pregnancy is different!
Yeah, I'm totally sure that as soon as this uterus grows I'll be hitting the potty much more. No complaints here! I just got back from brunch with the ILs and was being grilled on what symptoms I've had so far and I had no justification for them as to why I wasn't peeing so much yet.
Also, is it a symptom that EVERYONE becomes a professional know-it-all PITA about your pregnancy once you get knocked up? I'm kinda tired of people telling me already why I should be doing, feeling, or shouldn't do!!

To be honest, I was really worried about this symptom since I can NEVER hold my pee. As a teacher I've often just said BRB and left the class. Once I feel the urge to pee, I have MAYBE five minutes to get to a toilet or I'm in trouble. I cannot hold anything in.
That being said, it does stand out in my mind that I haven't been hitting the bathroom as much as I thought I would. But I am enjoying it! But an elastic bladder I do not have!

YES!! Get used to it, because you'll get it once you're child is born too. I tend not to get too bothered by comments, but they'll definitely happen. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

LOL. Thanks!
Yeah, I'm going to take a page out of my playbook from when we were planning our wedding - since apparently everyone knows better than you at that point as well. Nod your head, change the subject, don't get mad. That's my motto.
While I plan to ask for much advice, I'll be damned if I'm going to let anyone judge my parenting style, which I'm assuming will happen.
Also, I'm going out for sushi for my birthday (unless I'm repulsed by that, too by then!) and I don't care what anyone says!
You are so early that I would not find it odd if you had no symptoms.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of people don't even know they are pregnant until much later than I am now (or they look back and think "oh, that's why I was so tired").
I am now 10 weeks and I pee every 4 hours, but I do find that my symptoms change from week to week. Some weeks I am hungry and need to eat all the time or be sick. Other weeks nothing sounds good and I need to force myself to eat. Some weeks just blinking is exhausting, other weeks I am tired, but not exhausted. This last week I have not thrown up once or even felt sick. Until yesterday. Now I feel like I am dying again. The only thing that has remained consistant since 7 weeks are my sore boobs. I cry every night when I have to take my bra off.
I was concerned that I didn't have this always-peeing symptom. When I asked the doctor, she said that if you fully hydrated before getting pregnant, your body has adapted to that level of fluids and it doesn't feel like you are always peeing.

Ahhh. Yes. I did go on a major hydration kick. I was on fertility meds and was paranoid of hyperstimulation. I drank about 3 L a day.

My midwife explained that in early pregnancy, the uterus expands from a pear-shaped to an orange shape, and is putting additional pressure on the bladder. Towards the second trimester, the uterus moves up and provide some relief, but of course as the baby grows larger, there's more pressure on the bladder again later in pregnancy.
I've been waking twice during the night for about three weeks now. My hydration level was excellent before pregnancy, so I don't think that has much to do with it. I think it has more to do with the structure and size of your organs and body.
I have never been one to get up in the middle of the night to pee, ever, and I drink a ton of water. From maybe 8-10 weeks I would have to occasionally, but it really intensified around 15 or 16 weeks. Now I get up every night, and some nights I need to get up twice. Don't worry about not having the symptom yet, I didn't either. And now I'm really jealous of your uninterrupted sleep!
