Tdap boosters are supposed to last 10 years for adults, right? I had a booster in 2011 and DH had one in 2012, so we shouldn't need to do anything before baby #2 comes along, correct?

And I had my husband get it again in 2013 (he also had it in 2011). Insurance covered it and I'd rather be safe then sorry. I figure if I can get it twice and its not going to hurt me then he could as well. (ETA: our PCP said it was fine as well)
Thanks, all. I will discuss this with my OB at my next appointment. I've had so many extra tests, conversations, etc. because of AMA that we haven't had a chance to cover everything yet.
We both got our Tdap a few weeks ago, but originally got the shot about 7 to 8 years ago. Someone (can't remember if it was at our PCP or OB's office) told us that while the tetanus vaccination was good for 10 years, they're now thinking that the pertussis is only good for 5 years, and encouraging faster re-vaccinations.
