have earned $20 in gift cards to amazon in the past 2 months by signing up for Swagbucks. I don't even know who referred me, even though it was only like 6 weeks ago.
opened an ING savings account back in 2006 when their rate was AWESOME
have become more confident at negotiating (whether for a raise or for buying a new car)
I could probably go on and on. What has MM taught you?
Ps - this post is brought to you by that Cartwheel discussion down below. It made me realize there are a zillion things I would have never heard of if not for discussions on here
have allowed myself to be regularly distracted from work.
Oh, and also tracked my spending (years ago) and tormented H by showing him all the detailed budget numbers.
ETA and learned that many people think I have horrible taste in shoes. Whatever. /flips hair and walks away with comfortable feet and non-painful knees

learned the basics of retirement investing. We are going to max our Roths this year, and we are going to do it while NOT paying off the 3% student loan. I've also started questioning whether my next car is going to be a cash purchase or if we should get a non-retirement investment account.
- opened a then-high interest savings account at fnbodirect.com. RIP, 5.05% interest rate in late 2007! - opened an ING, now Capital One 360 savings account for my e-fund with referral bonus - opened Roth IRAs for both of us - increased our employer-sponsored retirement contributions - started budgeting better using Mint - shortened up my idea of an acceptable car loan term (from 5 years down to 3-4 max), and currently don't have one at all
on the other side of things… - bought a Naked palette - developed a Cole Haan habit
- convinced my husband to pull the plug on satellite/cable tv. Now I just have to fully convince myself. (Crazy since I rarely watch tv, but will miss the 6am saturday preschooler babysitter) - converted an old rollover 401k to a Roth (and had appropriate taxes withheld) - use a Diva cup
-started Efund with ING back in the day -joined ebates -max retirement -bought divacup -cut the cable box in my bedroom (baby steps!) -started using Mint to track everything
- Started using Mint to track spending - Started an efund - Joined eBates - Joined Costco - Usually stop here before Google, because MM knows all the things I'm sure I'm forgetting something...

- started using/tracking our spending through Mint - built a big enough e-fund that covered our asses when we bought a fixer-upper in '10 and I was laid off 17 days later for nearly a year - developed an UD eyeshadow obsession - negotiated both my DH's and my job offers last year successfully - started meal planning - as soon as our next cable bill comes, we're cutting it! We made the deal to cut it after the Olympics. Hold me MM. Hold me.

Thanks to MM, I've - - Left an abusive/cheating marriage - Sucessfully lived on my own for the past year - Paid off debt - Discovered the wonder of a good blow dryer - Developed a Sephora habit - Been able to wear skirts again thanks to pantaloons - Learned to date - Been introduced to sushi - Discovered the wonders of TJ's - Been introduced to new ways of thinking and different lifestyles than I can see in my small town
Tried ebates, bought umbrella insurance, got serious about retirement savings, thought paying off mortgage before kids hit college was a good idea but am rethinking that now, got motivated to chip away at college savings, think started buying boden
