Thanks to the past discussion on this board, H and I had a talk about a house cleaning lady. AND HE AGREED.
YOU GUYS. THIS IS HUGE. (I think)
I am so happy. She is going to start in March and start with every other week (deep cleaning and then regular clean) and then maybe bump up to once a week if we like their services.
We agreed we are both so busy and the last thing we want to do is clean, and the quote back from the company was very reasonable.
Our house cleaner changed our life- seriously. So much more relaxing, no need to do deep cleaning after the kids are in bed or on weekends, so much less squabbling over cleaning.... The only problem is once you go over I don't know if you can ever go back!
I loved mine for a few months but I kept adding up what other things I could have bought or did with the $$$. My lady wasn't that good either so i didn't feel too bad about it. Signed, wet blanket

Yes you should be excited!! I would kill to have a cleaning lady!! After working a full time office job M-F, Bartend every single Saturday Night AND I work at the barn where I keep my horse cleaning 26 stalls the LAST thing I want to do is clean my house (that is even bigger with 3 bathrooms that we just moved into last April) I may need to price around for one!!!! Congrats!!!!!

For a temporary house cleaner try groupon and living social. I see then there often.
That is awesome! We've talked about a house cleaner for awhile now. I think we are going to bite the bullet and get one. It's mostly for just the deep clean stuff.

Uh oh. Maybe I shouldn't do this?
No no no do it! Enjoy it, I'm definitely not the majority. I do love getting deep cleans twice a year

Now that H added more hours at work plus is working on his masters, I've been trying to convince him we should hire someone. He's slowly at the breaking point!

See, this is how it was, except H picked up a ton more clients teaching and is traveling more for work. That was the breaking point. He usually is very "let's save the $ and clean ourselves!" but he had a change of heart.

I had a hard time making the decision to spend my money on a cleaner instead of "fun" stuff but it's the best thing ever:) We have two big dogs, a 3 year old and I work a lot of hours. Now I'm able to take my DD swimming or go shopping without feeling guilt not being home to clean. You're going to love it:)
I love my cleaning lady. She cleans our place every two weeks. We used to have a woman come every week but with just the two of us (no pets or kids) it wasn't really needed that often.
So jealous. I seriously have no idea how other working moms find the time to clean. We're having DS's BFF come over after work today to play and my house is a wreck. I did at least throw our line of beer bottles in the recycle out back so we wouldn't look like total alcoholics.
<--Ugh,Jealous! I grew up spoiled having someone come clean, cook and do dishes in our house all the time. Um, that was years ago and I still struggle keeping the house clean and getting chores done!

Come live with me! Our dogs can play, I will babysit (sometimes!), we can share clothes and you can enjoy FL weather
ETA: both H and I grew up with house cleaners too! Both of our parents still use one.

Omg that will be all sorts of an awesome life cuz my DH loves to golf too! We would wear so much mint together that people will start calling us the "double mint" twins!!! Lol!
