Last night my H and I finished an awesome two part class for new parents/parents-to-be called The New Child Project. It was great so I wanted to recommend it to anyone around Boston or LA where the classes are held. Here's a link:
It is a super casual, comfortable style class taught/led by a psychologist and it's focused on teaching couples how to face issues/get through potential problems or things that will change in their relationship once the baby comes. The point is to come up with strategies and get on the same page before a 3am screaming match happens when the baby is crying and everything feels desperate. There were 4 couples in the class, and it was fun and facilitated some great conversations between me and my husband. It's geared toward first time parents, but I think would be helpful for people with kids already too. Also, the instructor brings dinner! It was $125/couple total for both classes and all the materials which I thought was really reasonable, but he does offer discounts/scholarships so if you're interested don't let the cost deter you.
