Oh Sweetie, I'm so sorry.
If it helps, my husband used to travel a lot for work. He was perfectly healthy and could never remember what room he was in. He said it was because he always stayed at Marriotts and they all looked alike. Good solution was to write his room number on the outermost bill in his money clip (and to be sure not to spend that bill).
I'm so sorry you are going through this. Your actions/reactions are absolutely normal. It's hard. It's even harder with the unknowns you are facing.
The best advice my oncology team gave me was to take time every day to do something that would bring me some normalcy to my day. Whether it was take an hour to read a book in the bath, get a mani/pedi, have lunch with a friend, whatever. When I started doing something daily for myself that I wanted to do it really helped me to sort of "forget" the rest for just a little while.
My whole life was consumed by my diagnosis, testing and treatment for almost 2 years. It was such a nice break not thinking about anything medical for just a little time every day.
There there, it's very normal to forget little things during times of big stress. Calm down, and go wash your face. It's going to be okay dovey. Huge hugs

THIS!
You have a lot on your mind, and when you're stressed out like that, it completely messes with your short-term memory.

Aw Dovey, I'm sorry. Try to relax and take care of yourself. I'm sure you're upset because of what's going on, but really--forgetting things happens to all of us.
I always have to bring the key card sleeve with me or else I'd never remember the room number and this is just on a normal day. So sorry you're dealing with so much right now, no one is going to judge you for having a good cry.
