I am sure I will be flamed the hell out of for this but I think that it's ridiculous to petition for any type of Disney Princess who would be considered unhealthy. By this I mean any princess who has a BMI that is not in a healthy range for their height.
I want the disney princess who is well rounded, eats right, exercises and has good mental health - that's what I would petition for.

I believe Disney needs to be more realistic. In every way. Not just in anatomy. No more magic, talking teapots, flying carpets, etc. It's unattainable!!
I am just happy my kid takes no interest in the princess thing.
luckyyyyyy.
I mean, I admit that it can be kind of fun sometimes, but then it gets out of hand to like obsession level. Which is where we are with Frozen right now. Fortunately I like the movie and music.

As a heavy person (I had weight loss surgery 4 months ago, down 70 pounds but still obese for 6 more pounds!), I really don't think Disney should make a heavy princess. Why not promote a healthy weight? Make a princess who likes to be active? eats her veggies? Something positive! I wouldn't want my (non-existant) kids to be seeing a heavy person as role model for their own health or the size they should strive to be.

This is one of those things that I really have no opinion on and can't get worked up over. It's a cartoon, which normally are not realistic in any way, shape or form.
::shrugs shoulders::
My almost 4-year old just started to take an interest in the princess thing, and all she is focused on right now is their pretty dresses. If she starts to become obsessed with how tiny they are and that she isn't skinny enough, then maybe my opinion will change, but I just can't get up in arms about this.

I was thinking it would be cool to have a princess really good at a sport, like swimming or track or something. Like, nothing notable about her body type at all, but focusing on activity and her favorite healthy foods.
You know, so she can cook them for the prince every night.
I want them to make more movies with central female characters and without any friggin princesses at all. I loved that the characters in Lilo and Stitch had real proportions. I can't think of many others.

LOL. Do you hate Harry Potter too? How about every other cartoon ever?
Disney makes realistic movies. Disney makes cartoons. People can watch what they would prefer.
I grew up liking enough Disney princesses. I am certainly not upset that I don't look like them; I'm not plus-sized, but I am not a 0. It is a cartoon film.

Well, that was supposed to be a gif.
But, let's just say that in the "what are you known for" thread, you would be the one who doesn't get sarcasm.

I hope you're being sarcastic, otherwise this may be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here.

That is one of my favorite examples of a more realistic character. She was clearly cartoonish but she had more features that people identify with.
I'm on the fence about all of this; I was an overweight kid and it would have been nice to see someone more like me. I think Disney could do it right; make a fuller figured princess, make her just as strong and confident as some of the newer princesses, and show her just as active and awesome. I feel like some people think that plus size princess = they will show her eating crappy foods or being "lazy".
Our current Disney princesses aren't exactly the best example of healthy either, so who knows what should happen. I'm just not 100% against it.
Meh, if I actually talked with her regularly I probably would have picked it up more. You'd be surprised some of the people I meet, that really didn't seem too far fetched.
