DH and I are going to the beach in a few weeks for seven days,and he is in need of a couple pairs of swim/board shorts. He currently only has one pair that he will actually wear.
A few things to keep in mind: he is pretty fashion conscience (generally loves all things JCrew), and he prefers that they come to at least his knees (he's right at 6 ft). I know JCrew has swim trunks online, but he thinks they all look too short.
Any suggestions for fashionable swim trunks that are a little in the longer side?

MH has issues with J.Crew shorts too. He thinks they're cut too "old man-ish". The last pair of swim trunks he bought was at Bloomie's. Not sure what brand they were.

DH's two favorites are a "Life is Good" pair in solid olive with a white athletic stripe on each side and cargo pockets and an ON one that has card suits all over it since he loves poker. Steer clear of Timberland since they are too thin and see through when wet. I was looking at some Hurley and Body Glove ones that are made to go from beach to bar. Here are those:
