Did you have one growing up? What was it and what did you call it? Do you still have it?
I had a blankie and called it "special blankie". I still have it, it's in Emily's room. I keep forgetting to darn the holes so Em can have it - maybe it will be something special for her, too!
Fleecie. It was a corner of my baby blanket I had rubbed to a nub. My mom cut the blanket down and down until it was about 6 by 6 inches with the fleecie sewed on. It is in my basement.

A bear my dad gave me named Bee Bee (I named it after the store he got it from- Boom Bears) and a quilt my mom's friend gave me, named Mee Mee. Clearly, I have a thing for rhyming lovey names.
Both are currently in my daughter's crib. She refuses to call the blanket Mee Mee, and calls it "Momma's blankie." No Amelia, it has a name and it's Mee Mee.
I had these. I called them pink baby and blue baby. My great grandma got them for me when I was born. I am not ashamed to say that I slept with them until I was at least 18.
When my mom found out I was pregnant, she went on the search to find one for DD. She ended up paying $200 for "pink baby" on eBay. DD could care less about it but I'm still glad she has it.
I keep mine on a shelf in DD's room with some other stuffed animals.
My baby sitter made me a doll the size of me that I called dolly. I wore it out and she made ma another one that also wore out but I slept with it in a pillow case until college.

I don't think I could/would pass mine on to my children.

My Huggie.
It was pieces of a black polyester sheet with psychedelic, colored mushrooms on it, that my grandmother had, and cut up into like 50 pieces to keep everywhere around her house, and my parents' house. I remember that I twirled it in my hand when I was falling asleep.

MINE MINE MINE.
I put Mee Mee on her at bed one night, because her "bwanket" was getting washed. She now has to carry Mee Mee and bwanket everywhere. She tossed the bear in her crib with a few other rando suffed animals, and has largely been ignored. She prefers bunnies to bears, so I'm not worried. My older son had no interest in either my bear or blanket, but is still attached to his lovey and blanket.

My grandma made a pair of stuffed rabbits when my parents got married (weird, but whatevs) and I adopted one at some point early on and named her Coola. The other one was a poor substitute the rare times I forgot Coola at pre-school. She lives on a shelf in DS's room now.
He was a koala bear. I just called him my bear. When i was around 5 my dad took me to the dentist, I didn't have any cavities, which was normal, but I convinced him he needed to buy me a prize for not having cavities, and that it should be that bear. I promised I would sleep with it forever (even though I had a current lovey). He got it for me, and starting that night I slept with it every night until I was 21. Then started bringing home boys from Bars, and stopped sleeping with the bear. He then made a reappearance when I met H bc I was ok with being myself around him... And then he got put away for good when doby ate his nose off.
He now sleeps in my closet with 2 other special stuffed animals.
Also. When I was in high school my friends thought it was cute/funny that I always slept with this bear and even took him on spring breaks with my fiends. We always said "love you to the moon and back" when writing notes to each other, and they knew I loves this koala so much that they would say ove You to the moon and back "times" (meaning multiply) koalas." Haha. That was so dumb, but I just remembered that when talking about that bear
