Mine is a naked plastic doll named Coldy (since she has no clothes she's cold). She's awesome and currently sitting on my bed. Not sure if it's a "lovey" (I have never heard of that term until this place), since it was something that I slept with, but she nevefr left the house. I have slept with since I got her for Xmas when I was 8 months old.
And I don't think it's weird not to have one - my three other siblings don't and never did. Just me.
Mine was a stuffed cat, quite aptly named Pretty Kitty. I got her when I was a baby and she's in my room right now, though I don't sleep with her anymore.

Fluffy (stuffed dog) and Pluffkin (stuffed indistinguishable animal). They are both very worn and holey, but DD and DS would like me to mend them so that they can sleep with them. Awwww.
Basically I would take any kind of satin or similar fabric and rub it between my fingers. My blankets, stuffed animals, even my mom's nighty.
I had one stuffed animal that had some kind of cheap polyester fabric for ears. I don't know if I took the ears off or what, but I remember I would sneak one to school (maybe 1st grade?) all the time.
A lot of my work slacks and coats have this kind of fabric for liner. LOVE it.
Wanna hear a sad lovey story? I had a bear named Cuddles since my parents' divorce. He was special. When I graduated from high school, I went on the Spanish Club trip to Mexico, and I took Cuddles with me. On the drive home, our van caught fire and, being responsible chaperones, they made us evacuate the van immediately and wouldn't let us back to get our bags. Cuddles was burned to a crisp and I missed him for a long time. The end.
My lovie is Racky, a raccoon I got my first Christmas. I still sleep with him
My mom tried to break me of my stuffe animal when I was 8. She hid him on me. Joke was on her, I had nightmares off and on for weeks, and I ended up in my parents bed almost every night. I finally found him in the attic, and he hasn't left my bed since.

A lamb named lamby. I definitely still have him. I'll try to remember to take a picture tomorrow. He was big and white and wore a dress and now he's a he, is gray, and is very small. Missing an eye and had it's neck cut off and sewn back on.

I've never heard the term "lovie" before, but I think you are talking about my Strokey Blanket. It was a basic white baby blanket with the most wonderful strokey satin edging. I think it's probably still in my old nightstand at my parents' house. But now that you mention it, I want to hold it and stroke it.
I had a teddy bear named Teddy (original) that I was really attached to from about 5 on. I never really had a lovie, but I got attached to this thing when I found out that my dad bought it for me when I was born and then died shortly after. So I equated this bear with my dad's show of love for me. I put a tie on it and talked to it every night.
Dolly Dolly. It was one freaking looking dolly that scared other children. I have no idea why I liked it, but I think it was because she has plastic arms, legs, and face and I use to like how she was cold against my face at night. She was horrifying to look at though.
