Not sure if I agree with Pet Semetary making the list over It, and I haven't read most of the rest, but I saw this on Huffington this morning and wanted to share.

Jalapeñomel - I haven't tried reading that one because I had heard it had very detailed descriptions. I'm more of a thriller fan than outright horror. Gore is hard for me to read / see. (It wasn't always this way. I think Hostel was a turning point for me. That movie really fucked with me.)
Thanks for the list! I want to read House of Leaves.
It was good, but a tough one because it required a lot of focus. As I'm sure you know, you have to turn to book all around in order to get everything. I can't remember if I read it in my last trimester or first few weeks postpartum, but regardless, my attention span was not what it needed to be.

I'm impressed you read any book postpartum, let alone that one!
Have you guys been watching True Detective on HBO?
We don't have HBO, but our television watching has decreased drastically since having K. I still have the entire seasons of Dexter and Homeland on DVR to watch. (We've seen one episode of each. LOL.)

What is it about?
It's about two detectives that are investigating a serial killer, someone thought to lead some sort of satanic cult. It's really freaking good.
I feel like I've watched so much TV on maternity leave, between the middle of the night feedings and the polar vortex, LOL.

That sounds up my alley. I'm adding it to the list of shows we want to watch (along with Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and House of Cards, all of which we've never seen but really want to.)
