I'm driving a rental car while my car is being repaired. The gas light came on and I had a slight moment of panic because this car does not tell you how many miles until empty.
I also spent a good minute or so looking for the button that opens the gas tank cover. I realized it doesn't have one. You just open it outside. Simple! Lol
Writing stuff by hand, wondering if I spelled a word right or wrong, and wishing paper had autocorrect. Damn autocorrect has ruined me.
Interestingly, I have the opposite problem. There are words that my brain knows how to spell, but I always type them incorrectly. Something goes awry with my brain-hand coordination. It would actually be easier for me just to write them by hand. Lol
I get frustrated when I'm reading a textbook and automatically think "I'll just ctrl+F this and look for keywords", as it turns out, real life doesn't work that way. lol.
Spelling, I'm terrible at it! I rely on auto correct and spell check so much that I don't even bother to learn how to spell some words. If I get close enough the computer fixes it for me
I desperately miss the ability to wonder something. You can't have a conversation anymore where you wonder anything. Anytime someone says "I wonder...", someone else pulls out a smartphone to Google the answer. The constant need for THE answer...NOW...bothers me. I feel we are losing the ability to think. Technology does it for us.
I bookmark recipes I like instead of writing them down, then go to the website whenever I want to make it. Which is fine until one day I go there and the website's gone or the page has been taken down or something
Pinterest. Instead of printing out projects I'm planning on doing and putting them in a binder, one click will put them on one of my Pinterest boards. I still print them out once I start the project, though.
My car radio/cd player has too many buttons and it confuses me so when I want to change the station, I use the buttons on the steering wheel. A while back the buttons stopped working and it was rage inducing so I just left the radio off.
I dont watch commercials anymore (FFWD on DVR) but tht didnt ruin me. It makes me happy.
Head up display on my car. Everything si displayed on the windshield so I constantly know my mph. When I drive a rental car I am usually speeding (more than usual) becasue I never look at the dials. It sounds silly but trust me, once you have it you will understand.
