I know it won't change her mind, but I would want to know in advance to prepare myself. She's looking at an entirely different way of caring for her child if he/she does have Down Syndrome. The nasal bone seems like a strong indicator and I would be concerned enough to get further testing done.

My neighbor just had one of the new blood tests, I don't remember the name. The doctors said it was very accurate (something like 99%). Thankfully everything was fine in her case. I think I would personally have further testing done, if only so I could be prepared.
They couldn't find A's nasal bone in his a/s ultrasound, but did find it in the other one. So I'm really no help. But they did say that there was more bloodwork that could be done if they didn't find it. I would have done it, just to be prepared.
