My husband was 39 and I was 22 when we got married. Looking back I'm sure everyone was all WTF about it. But in all honesty it's the best relationship I've ever had. Hence why I married him.
I do understand others hesitation though. However, if he makes her happy what's the big deal?

It's just the age thing and she's my baby sister, I still see her as a kid in a lot of ways. Which I fully realize is MY issue and I would never be anything but supportive to her, she seems to like him.
It's just that she's never had a serious relationship and I don't want her to get hurt and the age difference seems to make it worse. Plus, he doesn't seem to have a real career (he's a bouncer at a bar she goes to) and that is slightly off putting to me.

She does seem to be happy. Like I said above I have not said any of this to her, and I won't, because she is an adult and she does have a good head on her shoulders.

Oh well he doesn't seem like a long-term dude. I bet he has a fabulous dick like my guy had. (And now you have to wonder next time you see him. You're welcome!)

No one in the family has met him yet
I get you. My 20 year old little sister started dating a 27 year old and I was all 'whoa whoa whoa' as I sit next to my 17 year older husband lol.
YOU GUYS! In my mind all they're doing is eating ice cream and holding hands or something. No sex talk allowed! Lol
Oh man, really? Because my dude bent me over and banged me just right. We were lucky to be in a pretty sound-proof area of the building, if you catch my drift...and I know you do.
We should all do Elizabeths sister a solid and refrain from talking about the hot kinky sex she'll be having with her older boyfriend with an awesome penis so she won't get the ML curse...herpes.
My ex-dh is 12 years older than I. Notice I said ex. He was an insecure, domineering, overbearing a-hole. He felt it was his duty to "train" me, because after all he was older than I, and knew what was best for me. It made him feel good to boss around someone younger than he, and he's still that way. He loves to get caught up in drama of women who are young enough to be his daughter or even granddaughter.
Sometimes the age difference is quite okay, and other times it isn't. Depends on the older person's personality.

It's better when you marry the hot, kinky sex penis. Best decision ever in my case.
But 22 is way too young.
So for now. Ice cream it is . Maybe she loves the maturity? Have you asked?
But really, 22 yr old boys are just blah. And slut pigs
She seems to like him but it's hard to get many details out of her.

I dated a guy in basically that situation. It was never serious and nothing my family would have needed to sorry about. He was fun and treated me great and we both moved along to other things eventually.

I'm sure he's a kind, considerate lover (that term...gag) who is taking precautions to make sure she doesn't get KTFU. Like doing anal, so there's no risk.

Maybe she feels as if everyone thinks of her as the baby sister and she made this choice to show some independence.
I swear my mother dated and married my father to asset herself as an adult. FWIW, she's the baby of 9 and they all still treat her like she's 6 not 76.
My boyfriend and my roommate, who is 29, started dating a girl who just turned 19 in January. Definitely not an age gap I would do but they seem happy.
