Applying for jobs does suck.

I don't know about you, but if I try to apply to jobs late at night without someone else looking at my cover letter, I usually have a typo. I can't even imagine how I'd feel by application #36. I get why you're doing it, but make sure you're getting rest (at some point, when things settle down), and crafting kick-ass cover letters.

I was there just a month ago. Applying for jobs is an involved process that I do not miss. Just stick with it and I'm sure you'll get a call back.

I would start trying to find connections through people you know. A lot of company's offer bonuses to people who bring in new employees and also it helps prevent your resume from getting buried.

underwater is right, make sure you customize your resume and cover letter for each job.

trust me, it makes a difference.
