I met with my boss last week regarding my return from mat leave. Scheduled for October. I would really like to move to a 12 hour shift so I can spend more time with the baby and no more shifts until midnight. She said she thinks there is a new store opening around that time that will likely be a 12-13 hour store, but .i think it is 50/50 chance. She also mentioned a store opening next month that will definitely be 12 hour shifts.
I am curious anout the next month store. I kind of want to email her and ask her if a) she has already staffed it and. B) what the exact start date would be.
I could ask her that information and then opt to take my chances in October. Do you think that is wasting her time? That unless I know for certain I would be willing to go back early I shouldnt bother her. I dont want to appear flaky.
