I'm not sure if acne scar is the right term but I have these little red spots from old acne. I currently use Proactiv on a daily basis and get break outs whenever I'm stressed (which is just about most of the time at work) and around my time of the month.
Is there anything I can use that will help fade or get rid of the red spots? Thanks!
This is good to use to prevent scarring and heal the acne better and more quickly. www.mariobadescu.com/healing-cream For already developed scars, I have found that using the Philosophy microdelivery peel (the 2 step one) or the Olay dupe of it has worked really well to even out the surface of my skin, including scars. Aside from that, for really bad scars, you could try mederma.
Ditto the rec for the Mario Badescu healing cream. It helps minimize the scarring I get. I'm very prone to bad scars, which sucks. I've also been using a sample of Ole Henriksen vitamin C Truth Serum and the scars on my face are very noticeably lightened (many are completely gone) after using this for only about 1.5 months: www.sephora.com/truth-serum-r-collagen-booster-P42343?skuId=1403518 I plan to purchase a full size when I run out. I'm in love with it.
Retin-A is something you can try. My skin does not handle it well at all though, so I had to stop using it.
I've been hearing a lot about rose hip seed oil and will probably give that a try too.
I've been using products from Makeup Artist's Choice and I've noticed a reduction in my acne scars. I've been using the 25% Mandelic Acid, 30% Glycolic Acid Peel and 3% Beta Hydroxy Serum for about a month and my skin looks better than it has in years. I just recently purchased their blemish cleanser and pore minimizer too.
Retin-A (or an over the counter retinoid) and Vitamin C serum...I like Boscia's vitamin C serum, but I've also heard good things about the Ole Henriksen one mentioned above.
