"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I saw them in 2005 with Paul Rodgers. I had the best seat in the house sitting at the front of house mix. I would love to see them again.
Me too! I loved the mix of Queen and Bad Company/Free music! But, I'm excited for an opportunity to seem them play only Queen hits.
Plus, I think Adam Lambert is the closets to a Freddie concert anyone will get - he has the stage personal to lead Queen. I was watching American Idol when he performed with Queen and it was pretty awesome.
I know, it was so awesome! I may have shed a tear when they brought a stool for Freddie and played Bohemian Rhapsody. I am thrilled they are coming to my area again though

Yes. The little Freddie tribute was awesome!
I was bummed they didn't play " '39" like they did for the European concerts. I later heard they didn't know that song was so popular in the States, too!

Going to be sitting at my computer to get tickets for the DC date the second they go on sale.
No, it's not Queen without Freddie (or John) but it's the best we're going to get now (unless Gary Cherone tours with them--he's the closest to Freddie's range I've ever heard--he practically channeled him doing the audience participation scales in concert). I was never, not once, in the the same country as a Queen concert growing up. So Brian and Roger together as as good as I'm ever going to get (unless John comes out of retirement, which I highly doubt will happen). I'll go see them/either of them as often as I can before they stop as well.

Go figure. They're in Vancouver the day we leave for San Diego and they're in Los Angeles the day we leave for Seattle. I wonder if I can turn around at the airport and fly out to visit my mom in Vegas.
I would not be upset if Nick Ruess lead though. He seems to have the same "thing" Freddie does when he sings.
It's my own personal hang up.
ETA: I'd particularly like to hear Nick sing Lover Boy for some reason. I just think he'd nail it.
I can understand this. I thought you were saying that you don't like AL at all. So I guess I should've directed my question to thedude.
It's two things for me- one, there is only one Freddie Mercury and his voice was so original. Two, I do not like Adam Lambert in general. Not a fan of his music.
I just caught the end of the clip, but it sounds like the Freddie bio movie is in production. I *think* they said Brian and Roger were both producers. Which means it will be a bit more accurate than the unauthorized bios!
